When we think of a beach wedding, we automatically imagine your bridesmaids standing next to you wearing chiffon gowns flowing in the warm ocean breeze. But there's something else we think of immediately: hair styled in loose waves. The same is true about a classic wedding with bridesmaids in formal structured gowns. We're already dreaming about chignons.
The gowns, shoes, and jewelry worn by each of your best friends says as much about your wedding's style (and that of your 'maids!) as their updos. Therefore, we've gathered together ten of our favorite bridesmaid hairstyles perfect for the beach, ballroom, and any style in-between. Take a look in the slideshow!

Figure out which mismatched look matches your wedding's style. There are so many ways to do mismatched dresses, and some will work better for your wedding than others. A variety of dresses in the same shade by the same designer can be great for traditional weddings, while mismatched prints are beautiful (though a bit more complicated!) for boho weddings. Do you like the clean look of the same dress in a variety of colors or the soft, romantic vibe created by different dresses in several shades of a single color?

By Lover.ly | Shine Food – Thu, Mar 14, 2013 11:32 AM EDTHappy National Pi Day! Today's holiday is based on the Greek symbol π, which is used to represent the mathematical constant that is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter -- approximately equal to 3.14. Hey, any excuse to eat pie is fine with us!
Pies have become more popular as a wedding food in recent years, and with good reason. They evoke sweet, nostalgic feelings and are delicious in a variety of flavors. We love cherry and berry pies for summer weddings, and pecan and pumpkin pies for fall and winter weddings. Set up a pie bar with different types of pies for your guests to choose from and don't forget the milk! Here is more wedding pie inspiration.

Polka dots everywhere!By Carly Totten, Lover.ly
Depending on the pattern you choose to incorporate, it has the power to bring so much to the table in terms of defining your style and adding some extra layers to your design. One of our current go-to patterns to do just that is polka dots. If you opt for a bolder pattern with larger dots, the vibe feels very retro (add bright lipstick and a birdcage veil too). In contrast, polka dots can also veer toward traditional if the pattern is limited to a single color (think white on white or Swiss dots).
If polka dots feel like the perfect fit for your wedding, check out the slideshow for our favorite spotted ideas.

And for those brides, a second dress is great option. Set a fun, lighthearted tone for your reception with a post-ceremony wardrobe change. See our favorite picks in the slideshow.

1. Get out and browse. You can do this anywhere from an art museum to a furniture store to a farmers market -- anywhere where there are a variety of items to consider. Take note (or, even better, pictures) of the items you're most drawn to. Write down the colors that you like together, paying attention to the details. If you're drawn to say, a menu handwritten on a chalkboard, don't just write down black and white; take note of the soft shade created from chalk dust, the smooth
