Lucky Strikes, Cadillacs and midday drinks...are you excited for the premiere of AMC's Mad Men, yet? We still have a while to go until Season 6 starts in April, and we're quite sure there isn't a wedding in the future for the handsome 1960's New York City advertising execs and the women they love, but that won't stop us from planning a nostalgic throwback soiree (and we all remember sweet Sally Draper asking, "what is a soiree?" lisp and all...) complete with mid-century modern decor, gloves, martini glasses and our favorite part, the fashion!
What would Megan have worn to her wedding to Don Draper? We got a small glimpse of what Betty wore in the late 1950s when she walked down the (empty) aisle to Don, but what about Henry Francis? Their styles are so different, each of them taking the lead on the different looks of the 1960's--Megan in her fashion forward, mod colors and geometric prints, and Betty in her sophisticated, tailored day dresses and

As the nation celebrates Presidents' Day, we thought we'd celebrate the women who stood by our nation's leaders...and take a look at their wedding dresses! Eleanor Roosevelt, Jackie Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, and Rosalynn Carter were all wed in styles that still work today. Here are our favorite modern wedding gowns inspired by the ones worn by First Ladies from history.

Food is one of the most important aspects of your wedding reception (and it's likely the most expensive!), so you want to get it right. One of the best ways to get creative with your food is through minis. Though mini-foods have become trendy in recent years, there's still room for surprising and delighting your guests. Here are our favorite new takes on wedding bites.

2. Mini pies are good...but mini pies on sticks are even better! We still love cake pops, but pie pops are the way to do dessert on a stick in 2013. It adds a sweet, homegrown feel to a rustic or vintage wedding and is a good

Everyone has a favorite holiday, and one of our favorites is Valentine's Day. We will take any and every opportunity to celebrate love, and we adore all of the red, pink, and heart details that fill the season. As much as we adore the traditional color palettes of the holiday, we decided to take a new combination out for a spin: enter pink and gold. This take on the classic colors of Valentine's Day is perfect if your wedding falls on or around the holiday, but we think this combination (with a dash of gold sequins, naturally) is just as timeless for your wedding day in July. We've made an executive decision: the colors surrounding a holiday celebrating love do not expire.

You've invited all of the important people to your wedding, but you may have forgotten about someone. And we're not talking about a human. Although you may not have to send an invitation (odds are they live with you), don't forget about your pets. These furry guests are sure to fill your wedding with even more joy, and they may draw some attention too, especially if your cat is wearing a top hat or your dog is sporting a floral wreath. Plus, because pets so easily calm nerves, having your dog by your side is also likely to stop you from having pre-wedding jitters.
We cannot stop smiling when looking at these sweet pets from Lover.ly in the gallery, and we hope you feel the same way!Read More »from Invite Your Pets to Your Wedding
Would you include your pets in your wedding?
Bows: Fit to be tied, and no longer reserved just for pig-tails on preschoolers. Once the height of fashion for Kennedy-era brides, these sweetly tied knots are back to gracing the runways and adorning the waistbands, wrists and accessories of the new modern-nostalgic. Go all out and sashay down the aisle in swiss dots and oversized, exaggerated knots and carry your wedding day must-haves in a bejeweled bow clutch. Or, maybe you're looking for more subtle way to incorporate the tiniest bit of your everyday preppy style into your bridal look? Do your best Blair Waldorf and add a simple bow-tied headband to long, loose curls.
Click through the slideshow and check out the best way to incorporate bows into your wedding day.
