As we all know, the content on the Internet is vast and uncontrollable. Aside from locking up your computer or smart phone, there's not much parents can do to keep their children from exploring online without supervision.
With the rise of social media and online dating, it's not unusual for adults to meet on the web. However, a new study confirms parents' worst fears: adults aren't the only ones meeting people on the Internet.
Is your kid safe . . . online?
For 16 months, Dr. Jennie Noll of the University of Cincinnati followed the online habits of 251 teenage girls. At the end of the time period, 30 percent of these girls reported that they had meet an "Internet stranger" in the flesh.
The results of the study are based on a survey of 251 adolescent girls aged 14 to 17 years old. Out of those 251, about 130 of these girls had reported "maltreatment," a documented form of abuse. Dr. Noll and her colleagues wanted to see if the girls who had suffered maltreatment were any moreMove Over Breakfast Sandwich, the Breakfast Pizza Has Come to Town

Happier times for Tom and Katie at the Vanity Fair Oscar party last year. This Thursday, Lawrence's Wright's controversial book Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief will hit shelves. As to be expected, it includes a great deal of information that will likely have the bigwigs behind the Church of Scientology not so happy, including more details on the totally bizarre "wife-auditions" for the church's most public supporter, Tom Cruise.
In Going Clear Wright claims that actresses Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Alba, Kate Bosworth, Lindsay Lohan, and Katie Holmes were brought in for auditions to star alongside Cruise in Mission Impossible III, but in actuality, they were being interviewed to become the next Mrs. Cruise. An image from Khroma Beauty's European website. The Kardashian sisters' makeup line, Khroma, has been slapped with a copyright infringement lawsuit and it's not the first time the family has been accused of stealing someone else's ideas.
Lee Tillett, a makeup artist from Florida, has officially filed suit against the Kardashians in Los Angeles superior court. She is suing for $10 million dollars in damages, claiming the Kardashians stole the name of her makeup line, Kroma, which was founded in 2004, and simply added an "h."
Apparently the Kardashians couldn't resist beginning the business's name with the letter "k." All five sisters and mom Kris have names beginning with the letter K. Their fashion label is called the Kardashian Kollection for Sears and their line for OPI nail polish is called Kardashian Kolor.
9 reasons why the Kardashians should stay out of fashion

The Duchess of Cambridge's first official portrait was unveiled Friday. The Duchess of Cambridge's first official royal portrait was unveiled Friday morning at London's National Portrait Gallery, and though she seems to be happy with the final result, reviews of the painting have been decidedly mixed.
"It looks like Paul Emsley was going for an 'old masters' look with this painting. She has a half-smile, a Mona Lisa smile, which is very mysterious—like she has a secret," Robin Cembalest, executive editor of ARTNews, told Yahoo! Shine. "As for the criticism, it's difficult to paint a portrait everyone will like of someone so incredibly famous."
Kate Middleton baby will be called 'princess' if female
The main complaint from artists and critics is that the portrait makes Kate look old. "How does one manage to make a gorgeous, youthful and lithe woman like Kate look like this elderly spinster?" asked Tom Sykes at The Daily Beast. "Kate Middleton's portrait is unveiled and she looks 53!" read a headline at The Stir website.

What was this movie about, anyway? Something to do with Gerard Butler being a bounty hunter, we don't even remember. Katherine Heigl has as much appeal as a stale piece of white bread or the worst taste in scripts, or both.

Without the new decree, a boy would have been called a Prince, but a girl would have been titled "Lady," as she would not have been first in line to succeed to the throne.
