Beauty Ingredients Coconut oil? We love it, but the moisture miracle is so last year. There's a new wave of beauty ingredients about to blow up on drugstore shelves and makeup counters, so you'll want to have the inside information on what they are and what they do so you can snatch 'em up.

To make sure you're well-informed about this new crop of skin-savers, we asked a few seasoned skin experts (and did some digging of our own) to find eight of the most interesting ingredients you need to know about now.

1. Licorice Root: Tammie Umbel, CEO of Shea Terra Organics, says that this ingredient has been "rediscovered," so to speak, and will be appearing in more and more products because of its all natural ability to lighten depigmentation from sun damage. This one's definitely necessary for those of us who didn't wear enough sunscreen this summer.

NYFWThe look at Tory Burch (as seen on this lovely model above) was very chic to match a '60s-inspired collection that pulled some retro glamour from the archives for spring 2014. The hair and makeup were a nod to mod, very pretty and super wearable for the coming season.

Lead Makeup Artist Diane Kendal for MAC Cosmetics created a Brigitte Bardot-inspired makeup look which started with a glowing complexion courtesy of Fix +, Face + Body Foundation, Select Moisturecover Concealer and Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder. Eyes were given a retro feel with Fluidline in Blacktrack, tracked close to the lashes to give the eyes kittenish definition. Eyeshadow from the upcoming Espresso Blend palette was tapped into the crease for a subtle highlight, and Eye Shadow in Extra Dimension was used to give a subtle highlight at the center of the lid. Charlotte cleaned up the model's complexion with Maybelline Magic Lumi Concealer, and then simply groomed the brows with a Maybelline EyeStudio Master Shape Brow Pencil. Flushed cheeks were courtesy of ColorSensational Lip Pencil in Red #50 tapped into the cheeks. "It looks more natural than any other product," says Charlotte. Rihanna for MAC Considering the fact that Rihanna and MAC's RiRi Woo lipstick sold out before the pre-order was even done, it's pretty apparent that her cosmetics collaboration with the makeup giant will continue to be a hit. The singer signed on for four collections to launch throughout 2013, and the fall collection (above) will be released October 3.

The latest collection will feature the famed RiRi Woo color available in lip gloss, plus a bronzer, eyeshadow palette and a mascara. Prices will range from $16.50 to $44. You borrow your boyfriend's jacket, and you want the look to be sexy and a bit spare. Real, but not polished. Basically, when I was talking to the designers, the look is about taking a shirt or a tuxedo and pulling it apart and putting it back together again.
