Heel Height We received a press release today from none other than beloved shoe brand Jimmy Choo, which appropriately highlighted some red carpet shoe trends during the past decade. Since it's likely that no other fashion brand has logged more time on the red carpet than the luxury label-whose footwear first made its debut in 1999 at the Academy Awards on Cate Blanchett-they know a thing or two about the subject.

Interestingly, though not surprisingly, the release stated that heel heights have risen at a steady pace over the past ten years. In 2004, the Choo that logged the most time on the red carpet was the "Smooth," a skinny single-sole heel that measured 85mm (about 3.3 inches-a kitten heel by today's standards) with wrap-around ankle straps worn by Kate Winslet and Renee Zellwegger.
Today's Choo of choice is the "Kalpa" style, which has been worn by such stars

After an awards season full of serious sartorial hits and major misses on the red carpet, the hotly anticipated Oscars were tonight. Naturally, they brought out all of Hollywood's big names from nominees like Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway to previous Oscar winners like Halle Berry and Charlize Theron.
While we were impressed with some of starlets' gown choices for the big night, we can't help but feel that some of our favorite A-listers definitely could have stepped it up-from Jennifer Lawrence's haute couture Dior gown to Naomi Watts' glittery Armani Prive dress.

Jennifer Lawrence Although it was announced back in October that Jennifer Lawrence would be the face of the Dior's younger-skewing handbag line Miss Dior, the campaign photos surfaced today. Lawrence certainly looks elegant and chic in Raf Simons's couture creations on the red carpet, but we have to admit we're still relatively baffled by this casting choice.

Of course, with her "Silver Linings Playbook" Oscar nomination and the success of "The Hunger Games" franchise, the 22-year-old is having a major moment, so it's not shocking that the brand would want to align themselves with her (not to mention the fact that young girls look up to her, which in turn means they might be more apt to buy a Dior handbag). And while the photos themselves are striking, but we can't help but note they barely look like her.
The previous face of the Miss Dior handbag was Mila Kunis, who apparently is too preoccupied wearing

Lindsay Lohan Earlier this month, perpetually troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan made a pretty major red carpet appearance at the prestigious amfAR Gala, where she was decked out in a beaded gown by Theia. Given some of Lohan's regular fashion faux pas, we were fairly impressed with this ensemble. Apparently though, Lohan's dress didn't fare too well after the party was over.

According to Us Weekly, Lohan pulled some major strings to get the gown in the first place, having her dear friend (and occasional benefactor) Charlie Sheen call it in from noted stylist Phillip Bloch.
As the night progressed, Us reported that Lohan accidentally ripped the dress at an after-party and panicked, so she did what no other person in their right mind would ever do: She had her stylist friend run up to the bouncer, snag a pair of scissors, and hem it DIY-style.
"She turned it into a

Kate Middleton A week ago, a German tabloid angered the Palace by publishing photos of a pregnant Kate Middleton clad in a bikini while on her "babymoon" with Prince William in Mustique. However, that didn't deter the always-elegant Duchess of Cambridge from making her first public appearance (only her second since the initial announcement that she was expecting) on an official visit to women's addiction treatment center Hope House.

Kate didn't attempt to cover up her developing baby bump (she's due in July) and wore a flattering MaxMara jersey wrap dress, said to be past-season and around $175.
She paired it with simple black pumps (which we're willing to bet came from her favorite shoe designer L.K. Bennett) and nude tights, proving that the baby on the way hasn't hindered her classically chic style.

In case you're wondering what "JKL" stands for, it's short for "Just Keep Livin"-a phrase that will ring familiar with fans of the film "Dazed and Confused." It also serves as the name of McConaughey's charity, dedicated to his father who passed away in 1992.
Apparently, the collection will have an emphasis on versatility. "I don't like to push reset," McConaughey told WWD. "I like to be able to wear something that is appropriate for wherever the day takes me: to work, on a hike and then out to dinner. I

Beyoncé Although we thought Beyoncé looked completely chic and on trend at the Grammys on Sunday, some fashion fans thought her black and white Osman pants jumpsuit was underwhelming. The beaded gown fit the 31-year-old singer like a glove, and truly proved that whether she keeps it simple or glams it up, she never truly makes a style misstep (no, the matching outfits during her Destiny's Child days don't count).
The red carpet was filled with bold-faced names, such as Oprah Winfrey, designer Rubin Singer, Bey's sister Solange (who seemed to have forgotten her pants at home), and her hubby Jay-Z, all there to support the Beyoncé-directed documentary. It airs this Saturday at 9
