The singer was well known for struggling with addiction, and contrary to what many believe, she did in fact enter rehab several times. However, brief stints in rehab never work for those struggling with powerful addiction problems.

Pickens County, SC is in the news today for the recent story of a couple that exposed their nine month old infant to meth. The long term affects that may happen to this infant can not even be foretold at this time. Stiff reprimands for the addicted parents need to send a message to those that chose to do drugs. Addicts that have children in their care, are by default automatically engaging in child neglect.

In a recent interview the singer's sister Vicky Oswald Ley was able to shed some possible light on the singer's cause of death.In a recent report, the autopsy of the singer proved inconclusive.

It is almost a foregone conclusion, where there is a dysfunctional family, there will more than likely be addiction. Rest assured there is no family that does not have some level of dysfunction. However, the level and severity of the dysfunction is typically what separates an addicts family from other families. Sadly enough, statistics show that most all forms of dysfunction lead to destructive behavior.
