    • The New Christian Louboutin…Barbie!

If you couldn't tell, Barbie has been getting a lot of play lately. From finding her a new job and to a pre-teen fashion designer using her as model, this little girl's fashion play thing isn't just for little girls. She has been sought out by Christian Louboutin once again for a Spring look. (He designed a cat burglar outfit for her last November. Check it out here!)

Want to know what she's rocking for Spring? She is wearing a khaki, safari- inspired dress and over the knee and hot pink fringed boots. For the Barbie afficiando that takes her home, she comes complete with a wardrobe, three pairs of shoes, and mini Christian Louboutin boxes and bags. Looks like Barbie is playing no games when it comes to fashion! You go girl!

This collector's item is available for purchase here and here!

btw: Do those gold sandels and purple heels come in my size?? They are just too fab!

Want to know what you should be rocking this Spring? Bluefly's stylist gives me the scoop!

    • Fashion Isn't Kid's Play for this Pre-Teen Designer

First it's the 13 year old fashion blogger Tavi sitting front row at Fashion Week.

      Now a pre-teen Fashion Designer?

Amanda Jet, the neice of travel journalist Johnny Jet is doing some fashion of her own - in the form of Barbie dolls and toilet paper! (and I can't even sew a button a shirt! LOL)

Designing clothes for her first Barbie doll from toilet paper when she was four, she was finally able to show off her skills in her own art show that took place last week in Delray Beach, FL. Her collection (photographed below) is very cute and I can see some potential there, with the last dress being my favorite! It definitely takes creativity to make clothes out of toilet paper! I have been told that Vera Wang saw the photos of her Barbie couture collection and wants to have her intern with her when she turns 16! How sweet is that??

A young, fashion prodigy in the making?? You ladies be the judge! What do you think?

Oh, and by the way, when she isn't

    • User post: All Made Up....to Work Out???

About a month ago I joined LA Fitness to jazz up my fitness routine and get really toned for my wedding next month. I usually hit the gym first thing in the morning before work (I get it out of the way and it's less crowded!). But some nights I go to t fitness classes for a change of pace. I've been noticing some ladies coming to the gym and to class with a full face of make up on! Some have on perfume so strong I can smell it a few feet away!

This may seem very un-beauty blogger-ish ….but the last thing I want on my face when I'm about to get downright sweaty is makeup! I get it that some people come straight from work to the gym and I'm no exception. But along with my change of clothes and my sneakers are makeup remover , my cleanser, and moisturizer. I always make an effort to go to the gym with a clean face so I don't have to worry about anything running into my eyes, caking up my sweat towel, or worrying about breaking out from a bad combo of sweat and foundation. True

    • Vera Wang Princess: A Great Perfume?

Its Spring time ladies! Along with updating the wardrobe and accessory collection, I'm also giving my fragrance collection a good look over. Smelling good is just as important as everything else beautiful and fashionable and I'm always up to checking out what's new in the smell good world.

For the past couple of weeks, I was able to test out a new fragrance from Vera Wang called Vera Wang Princess. I was definitely excited to try out the scent housed in a heart shaped bottle, sealed off with a gold mini crown. It was definitely one of the cutest and most imaginative perfume bottles I have seen!

Unfortunately, that's where my excitement ends.

I sprayed it on and could faintly smell a slightly floral and whimsical scent. After that, I didn't smell anything else. This morning I sprayed more than usual and still nothing. Could the scent be picked up on someone else? Probably, because the way one perfume smells on one person can smell completely different on another.

    • Fighting Violence Against Women Starts With...A Conversation

"On education: It's important that we speak to children, not lecture, and offer substance rather than slogans." -Rosalind Wiseman

"When we empower women, we change the world." - Andrea Jung, CEO Avon

I started off this blog post with those two quotes because they really struck a chord with me. These were reported from the live Twitter feed of @AvonPRNewsFlash from the second day of The Global Partnership to End Violence Against Women summit. As these quotes came across in my Twitter feed the first person I thought about was my little sister. She's going to be seventeen this year and is soon going to be off to the college to brave the Real World. Though I am always overprotective and want nothing but rainbows and sunshine for her, I know that it won't be the case. The world is a lot tougher than it was when I was in college eleven years ago and with the ever present problem of violence against women in the forms of domestic and sexual violence, the world is

    • Bring on the High Color Drama!

Now normally I'm a girl who loves to stay drama-free but when it comes to makeup, I'm trying to find ways o bring on the drama, especially if an occasion (like the Oscars! ) comes up! As part of my beauty resolutions for 2010, I wanted to get a little dangerous with color and I think found just the goodies to stick to that! See what I think of Avon's High Definition Color Cosmetics collection!

Ultra Color Rich Lipstick Mega Impact Lipstick

The name is certainly a mouthful but one thing this lipstick is full of is color! I tried the Kicked Up Coral and as soon as I put it on I was hit with color. I'm not a bold lips kinda girl (though I love to see it on other people, like Ms. Sandra Bullock!) so I was very conservative putting it on, giving me the right about of color. It also has a little shimmer which is a lot fun. The color is very rich and goes on real smooth. It also has some staying power which is definitely a good thing!
