This past weekend I hung out with my girlfriend for a girl's night. We had a blast hanging by the pool during the afternoon, soaking in the rays and reading the latest gossip in our trashy tabloids. Afterwards we returned to her house to shower before going out for the evening. When I was dressed and clean with my favorite lotion applied on my body, her friend was visiting and asked what was the scent. She loved its smell.
Bath and Body Works makes this Wild Honeysuckle Body Cream. It has the smell you recall when walking down the street as a kid and you would see this flowering bush. You would want to rush and taste it's sweet juices. It reminds me of childhood and of a summer's day.
Do you have a signature scent? What does it remind you of?

At a California sporting event, onlookers and celebrities alike were shocked by the presence of this man: Kevin Federline. It seems that since his break from popstar Britney Spears, K-Fed has become Well-Fed!
While other participated at the Ryan Sheckler X Games Celebrity Classic, Federline sipped cocktails and smoked cigarettes with girlfriend Victoria Prince while sitting on a shaded patio.
Shar Jackson, mother to two of K-Fed's children shared her view on his plumpness. "It's daddy weight!" she told UsMagazine.com "When you are a full time parent, sometimes you can't focus on you. If gaining a few pounds is your only problem, life's not too bad!"
As a mother, I have lost weight. I weighed more before my kids. With children, I am constantly running around taking care of their needs. Someone always needs to be fed, bathed or taken to somewhere. I barely have time to grab a snack on the way out the door.
K-Fed seems like he hasn't missed many meals as a parent.

With summer here and the kids always here, my house has turned into a war zone. Remnants of the snack eaten after lunch litter the family room carpet. Barbie houses designed by the girls fill the downstairs den and could never be thought of being picked up because "It took so long to put it together". Puzzles that have been put together are not allowed back in their boxes because they want to enjoy looking at their hard work in physical form. Clothing that has been dirtied from outside play waits in line by the washing machine that never seems empty. Wet towels from the beach or the pool need to be constantly washed and dried. Pens, pencils and colors that were missed when the girls "cleaned up" seem to find their way into your bare feet while making the beds or when carrying a load of laundry.
I've had it!
My mother always had a day of the week when we cleaned: a time to dust, a time to fold, a time to empty the dishwasher. Although it was only her and I for many of the years of myShould President Obama have had to apologize to the Cambridge Police Department or was it necessary?

When Henry Louis Gates Jr. cried to the media last week on his arrest by the Cambridge Police Department as being racist, for a moment I thought The United States of America might explode into a race riot. He stated, "This is what happens to black men in America." For years, race has been used as a tool to cry in anger over situations that many deem unjust. I will not go backwards and discuss how the treatment of certain cultures were mistreated in certain times. I will only speak of it in a day when a man of color rules The White House.
Let's take a look at the scene:
On July 16th, 2009
A neighbor of Henry Louis Gates Jr. called 911 about a supposed break in across the street. She saw a man continually " wedging his shoulder into the front door as to pry the door open ,"
When officers arrived, an officer ordered the man to identify himself, but Gates refused, according to the report. Gates began calling the officer a racist and said repeatedly, "This is what happens to black men inShould you quit your job over love?

Goodness, goodness me! Just when you think Jon Gosselin couldn't get anymore press, he does it again. Star Senior Reporter, Kate Major has resigned citing a conflict of interest from her duties as a reporter because of her blossoming relationship with Jon Gosselin. Could this attention seeking father of eight get anymore press?
Tuesday night, Jon and Kate (no, not his soon to be ex-wife Kate: try and keep up here...) munched on dinner in the Hamptons with Michael Lohan, Lindsay's dad, and Bravo reality star Jill Zare.
"I think it's authentic," Zarin told Usmagazine.com of Gosselin's relationship with Major. "I think it's fast. I think it happened very quickly."
All the while Hailey Glassman, Jon's supposed 22-year old girlfriend, learned from PEOPLE today about the new happy couple. She states: "That's news to me," "I still love Jon and Jon loves me," a teary Glassman said.
Jon is on the prowl, the world has been made aware of this, but is this not hurting his image more and more.User post: Why Not Curse at Your Children?

While my children and I walked to our car after a long day at our favorite waterpark, I noticed a couple with their children walking back to theirs. I smiled as we scooted past them. As we walked on, I overheard the mother tell one of the boys, "I'm gonna kick your a*% when we get back to the car." Now I am unsure of what the boy did to cause his mother to respond in such away, but she didn't seem that angry. In fact a moment later, a small girl came up and asked, "Momma, what did you say you were gonna do when we get back to the car?" She was laughing. The mother didn't seem as if she was about to blow her lid and start hounding on the boy.
As I thought about how dreadful that sounded to my ears, coming from mother to son, I wondered in certain circumstances if this a from of verbal play? Could this sentence have been misconstrued by me? Could this woman use profanity as a form of loving affection to her children?
I'm not a mother that uses profanity that often. I will curseMichelle Obama's New Hair Cut: Yay or Nay?

Recently on a trip to the beach, while my husband was working from the house, I went shopping. I wanted to pick up a sand dollar and a starfish for a craft project I am working on. The perfect place to purchase these items are in the tacky gift shop you normally avoid going into. I quickly made my way through the store searching for the items I needed, wondering aloud about some of the items for sale in the store. Do people actually decorate there home with pirate ashtrays, blue glass dolphins or picture frames that scream OBX? Do people actually need a coverup with the outline of curvy woman's figure or a towel with the confederate flag design on it?
With my sand dollar and starfish in hand, I was ready to escape this trap when my cell phone rang. It was my mother. As I spoke with her on the phone advising her against going for the crap camera or the imitation iPod for my oldest daughter's birthday, I wandered into the clothing section. Okay, we all know I have a terrible habit of a little celebrity interest. Sue me. Who doesn't love picking up a UsWeekly or a People? Who doesn't enjoy the Huffington Post or NY Post--Page Six anyone? It's part of the American right to read trash.
Even men could be held for the crime. They may enjoy it in the privacy of their own bathroom instead of flaunting the glossy pages at the beach or the pool as women do, but they read it.
Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan have hit the skids again ? I thought this was old news. Are they not always fighting/breaking up/getting back together? It seems Samantha Ronson came home after what must have been a late night dinner with ex-Soprano actress, Drea de Matteo. The pair returned to Ronson's house at 5 a.m. An hour later, Miss. Lohan shows up banging on the front door of Ronson's home, screaming and yelling, accusing Ronson of being a "liar." To end the fight, Ronson threw a bag of Lindsay's clothes out the front door.

With social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook on the rise, more people are being allowed into your personal space on a daily basis. With status updates, uploading of pictures and wall posts on the rise, other people you know and have known throughout your life are able to check up on you and your family with more frequency than ever before.
Before Facebook and other social networking sites, many people only fretted about their weight before going to their class reunions. Remember Romy and Michele's Class Reunion? Before returning to visit with their "friends" from high school, Romy and Michele worked their butts off in the gym trying to fit into smaller sized clothing. With the ability to peer into other people's lives on a daily basis, are we becoming more aware of our weight?
We are no longer available on a need to know basis. On a daily basis our looks are scrutinized by those we have invited into our social circle. Are Facebook and other social networking sites
