Developed in 1927 by John D. Rockefeller Jr. and Reverend W.A. R. Goodwin, Merchant's Square is known as the first planned shopping district in the United States. With it's brick lined streets and the feeling as if you have stepped back in time, Merchan't Square is one of the highlight's of Williamsburg.
