    • Plaid: It's back!!!

I have already written on this subject before but it's back, it'sawful and I feel inclined to speak on it's behalf. Please Stop and not just because your Lindsey Lohan. It's funny to me you can have so much money at your disposal and want to look as if you shopped at the local second hand store.

If you see a shirt like this: walk away (and if it's a man wearing this shirt: RUN!!!)

    • User post: Christmas lights, how long is too long?

Christmas has come and gone, my tree is packed away along with my lights that twinkled in the windows. The wreaths have been stored and the Christmas villages have been tucked away into their boxes for another year. It's after the first of the year and I'm driving home after visiting the grocery store and I still see people's home lit for Christmas. The blown up Santa down the street is still waving his hand at me as if he's coming too see us soon. When is it too long to have up Christmas decorations and should a bulletin be sent out in the mail to inform everyone that "It's Time"?

    • Dog Strollers: Are Dogs Really That Lazy Or Are We Just Stupid?

My husband and I recently moved across the country to the east coast. I was sitting outside enjoying a cold beverage, taking a break from unpacking and watching people walk by, when a lady walked by pushing a stroller. At first I didn't notice anything unusual about this, oh a woman getting her exercise after having a baby, but then I looked a little closer and found I was looking at a woman pushing her dog in a stroller. What is this? When did dogs become unable to make a short walk around the neighborhood? Are dogs becoming lazy? Are dogs becoming the new babies? Is society so caught up in the next trend, they put dogs in strollers?

    • The Snuggie: You up for it?

Have you seen this yet? It's a blanket with sleeves, I personally think you will look like a monk in this but maybe that's what you are into. What do you think?

    • Does anyone care who Taylor Swift has a crush on?

She has just revealed she has a crush on Chace Crawford, who doesn't, and we are supposed to care? Is this really news?

    • Quickies: For Women or Men?

Who usually benefits from a quickie, men or women? How many have just done it to get someone off your back so you can continue doing what you were doing previously?

    • Clothing Designers: Our pants are too long and no one cares!

I was out yesterday doing some last minute Christmas shopping and wandered into the men's clothing section. I was checking out this rather hip dress shirt for my husband when I realized I didn't know his shirt size. With women it's small, medium, large or extra large or from sizes 1-42 and so on. With men it's 32-30, 34-30, 34-34, etc. It includes length's and why women's clothing does not, I'm not sure. All women are not 5'9. Most women I know are under 5'5. I'm 5'2 and everytime I try and buy new pants they are always too long. So after I pay for the pants then I must turn around and get them altered. This has been a huge reason behind my skirt and dress wearing years. If the fashion industry would included the length's in their decisions in women's clothing, maybe we would not have to walk around with our pants legs too long or our skirts too short or hanging below our knees and their true vision would become reality but until then sloppy dressing will remain, even those with money

    • I auditioned for American Idol... and it's exactly how Paula described it

A couple of years ago I tried out for "American Idol." I have never witnessed such a display of humiliation by an entertainment show and aggravation on my part in my life. I have been an extra in a couple of movies and I understand the hours of standing around doing nothing, but this informed me more about the entertainment industry than ever before.

After rising from my bed at an ungodly hour and racing to downtown Memphis to stand in a line waiting to be the next big thing. Lines and lines of people were in front of me. We all were excited about the prospect of getting there and this helped us all get through the hours of waiting. Once we were allowed to sit down, the producers then made everyone learn a song that would be shown in the intro of one of the shows. Then we were made to sing it multiple times in all that can be summed up as publicity for the show. After this we were allowed to sit and watch the hundreds of contestants file in lines that resembled lining up for a roller

    • What's not hurting in this economy?

As more and more business are winding up in the toliet, my mother works for a bank and she says it is only going to get worse, Way Worse, what jobs and companies will stick around? I'm no expert so I want to hear what you think.
I can only think of a few and these are jobs that have been around forever.Teaching will never go by the wayside, nor doctors, or government workers but what else? I haven't been to the dentist in awhile because I can't afford it, so this profession is probably taking a hit, though maybe small. I live in a tourist town with all of these ice cream shops and wonder how these places are staying afloat. What do you think?
