Cobalt blue was no doubt one of the hottest fall colors and from what we saw at last month's New York fashion week, this hot color is not going anywhere come fall 2011. This spring, we're going a little bit lighter on the cobalt blue color scale and Stars like Blake Lively and Jessica Alba are already in on this trend. The allure of this shade lies in the color's richness. It's elegant, regal and it makes a statement. It's also a beautiful alternative to the usual turquoise we always see come spring/summer season.

We've already established that prints are in this season. From tribal prints to stripes and polka dots, it's all about going bold. For those that are a little hesitant about these statement prints, no need to worry, you can always go soft. The switch to softer colors came over year ago and this trend completely dominated the red carpet at premières and during the awards season.
With designers taking inspiration from the 70s, get ready for an influx of pastel prints. The beauty of this trend actually lies in it's timelessness - it's why it seems to pop up every few years. The look is incredibly soft and light as air….the fact that it almost creates a floating illusion on the wearer is just the cherry on top.
