A few wrong plucks and you can go from looking like Heidi Klum to Cruella De Vil. Eyebrow experts Kristie Streicher of Streicher Beauty Bar and Anastasia Soare explain why having well-groomed arches is so important. By Robyn Macy, REDBOOK.
Balance your features
"Eyebrows are the framework for the entire face," says Soare. "The proper eyebrows can balance wide cheekbones or make the length of the face appear more proportionate." And according to her, beauty is all about emphasizing the features you love, and taking attention away from those that are less than ideal. Get your brows up to the job the easy way by tweezing after a shower, or dab a warm wash cloth over your face to let the follicles soften, making the hairs come out less painfully.
Frame your face
Let your face shape, features and natural eyebrows - not celeb trends - determine the style of your brow," says Streicher. What works for Michelle Obama's square-oval shape may not suit you, so before you bring

Emma Stone One of our favorite actresses, Emma Stone, chose a bold and beautiful makeup look for last night's "The Gangster Squad" premiere in LA. With sleek blonde locks and blunt bangs, Stone chose to contrast her vibrant red Lanvin dress with emerald eyeshadow. The pantone color of the year highlighted her green eyes and fair complexion. Because the eye look was so strong, Stone simply gave her lips just a hint of a pale red lip color and left the rest of her skin flawless and matte - with a dusting of blush on the apples of her cheeks.

We love that Stone proves to us that even if you have light colored eyes, you can pull off a bold hue like emerald. To get the look, try a shadow like Lancome's Color Design Infinite in Enduring Vert, smudged across your lids and traced along the lower lash line precisely like Stone did. This shadow has a hint of shimmer in it to bring out the color of your own eyes. For an evenEasy Kitchen Fixes for a Seriously Enviable Head of Hair!

There's no shortage of supplements, treatments, tools, and creams that promise to give you a head full of amazing hair, but if you're on a quest for a covetable mane, look no farther than your pantry for all the ammo you need to truly transform your tresses. Turns out everything from apple cider vinegar to molasses can be used to make your hair look positively stunning, and at a fraction of the cost of some of those pricy treatments.
We caught up with Kyle White, the supremely talented lead colorist at the Oscar Blandi salon in NYC. He's apparently a DIY beauty whiz kid, too - he knows the foods you need to eat to make your hair look awesome, plus what to slather on your strands to add softness, shine, and even make your color more vibrant.
"My grandmother was an Italian immigrant who grew up during the Great Depression," he says. "She believed that homemade was always better than store-bought. While I may not completely agree with her on that, I

Men get mixed messages. Be manly, but sensitive. When women say "nothing" is wrong, it means everything's wrong. Open the door for me. No, wait, don't patronize me!
Here's a new one. Even though women say they like your three day growth ... most don't.
Men have taken to facial hair in a big way. Scraggly wisps have covered faces as flawless as Brad Pitt's, but kissing such men is leaving women feeling like they've just undergone microdermabrasion therapy.
Maybe it's time for the perpetual five o'clock shadow/Fred Flintstone look to be retired with faux hawks, ballcaps worn backwards, and hoodies without sleeves.
That, at least, is the opinion of women surveyed by Gillette. Yes, I know, Gillette is in the business of selling razors, and everyone from baseball player Brian Wilson to the guys from Duck Dynasty are the worst things to happen to the razor biz since Robert Redford turned himself into Jeremiah Johnson.
So take these results with a grain of salt,

I've had a root canal, given birth to an almost-nine-pound, large-headed baby, and survived a bout of sepsis (not all at once, thank God). Also counted among the most painful experiences of my life: the first time I had my teeth professionally whitened. The year was 2006, and the procedure itself went smoothly (a dentist painted my teeth with peroxide, then shined a blue light on them for about 45 minutes). My smile was a gleaming white. But within a few hours, my newly bright teeth started aching. Then throbbing. It hurt to eat, drink, and talk. It hurt to breathe. The pain lasted 24 hours, and I vowed never to let peroxide touch my teeth again. I would simply offset their yellow tinge by wearing more beige.

Then, recently, Jeff Golub-Evans, DDS, suggested I give teeth-whitening another try. Because I look really peaked in beige--and time does indeed dull the memory of pain (I know people who've actuallyStyle at Your Fingertips: 7 Striking Nail-art Ideas for 2013

By Babble.com | Beauty on Shine – Mon, Jan 7, 2013 4:43 PM ESTIt took me ages to embrace my curly hair. In high school, I distinctly remember using an iron to get my hair as straight as humanly possible. I tried traditional blow driers, treatments from various countries, and straightening gels to no avail. My hair didn't want to pretend. It said, "I'm curly; hear me roar." The trick to falling in love with your curls are great products that help each curl pop. Here's the problem: The market is inundated with gels, masques and conditioners. Where do you even start? Find someone with beautiful curls and ask him or her to share secrets. Better yet, find a top Beverly Hills stylist who just happens to have curly hair, and ask him. That's exactly what I did with the legendary Arthur Viecco, of Umberto fame. Click through for 7 products he recommended that will help you embrace your curly hair! - By Eva Glettner
