Nina Dobrev stepped out on The Perks of Being a Wallflower red carpet over the weekend looking like a modern-day Audrey Hepburn. And that's exactly the muse celebrity makeup artist Kindra Mann (who has also worked with Mindy Kaling and Lea Michele) was inspired by when creating Nina's color palette for the film's Toronto Film Festival premiere. Rosy cheeks and lips were the cornerstone for Nina's look, which included Tarte's Amazonian Clay Blush in Amused ($25), a bright pink, on the cheeks and the brand's Glamazon 12-Hour Lipstick in Bold ($26), a rich coral on the lips. A touch of plum-rose gloss on top kept the retro style looking up-to-date.

We saw French twists all over the Fall 2012 runways, and we can't wait to test out new ways to rock the trend this season. One way to update the updo? Add major texture, like Rachel McAdams did at the Toronto International Film Festival. Here's how celebrity hairstylist Thomas Dunkin for Sebastian Professional created the look.

Step 1: Apply Sebastian Professional Stylixir ($18, Sebastianprofessional.com) to the roots and length of damp hair. Then blow-dry strands straight without a part.

Step 2: Emulsify Sebastian Professional Microweb Fiber ($19.95, Sebastianprofessional.com) into palms and apply to the length of hair for added texture while concentrating on the hair at the top of the head.

Step 3: Twist the hair into a French pleat by tucking strands tightly. Secure with bobby pins.

Step 4: Spray the hair with a light hold hair spray, such as Paul Mitchell Light Hold Style Finishing Spray

Stunning on the red carpet is one of Diane Kruger's best moves, and at the premiere of Inescapable at the Toronto Film Festival, she upped the ante. Her tight, yet somehow wispy topknot was both glamorous and edgy. Celebrity hairstylist Kylee Heath, who styled Diane's hair for the premiere, explained that her inspiration was Valentino's Fall 2012 couture show. "We wanted to modernize the look a bit with a soft edge," she said.

To achieve the runway-inspired style, Heath started with a cocktail of Oscar Blandi Volumizing Spray ($19) on Diane's ends and Kérastase Mousse Volumactive ($41) on her roots. After she blew out Diane's hair, she pulled it up into a high ponytail. The trick to this sleek bun is that Heath broke the ponytail into three sections, wrapping them around the base one at a time, securing with pins. And that's just the look Rachel chose for the premiere of Passion at the Toronto International Film Festival yesterday. Celebrity hairstylist Thomas Dunkin for Sebastian Professional worked with the actress in styling the look, and he's shared the steps for re-creating the carefree coif at home.

• Dunkin began by applying the brand's Volupt Spray, a volumizing spray-gel, to the roots of Rachel's damp hair, followed by Thickefy Foam (both available at salons) on her ends.
• He then twisted random sections of hair while blow-drying to create texture and lift throughout.
• Using a large-barreled curling iron, Dunkin curled random sections of hair to form an uneven wave pattern. A few spritzes of soft-hold hair spray gave the style a light and
