1. PROTECT YOUR SKIN FROM THE SUN
Sun damage is the number one enemy to youthful skin. The sun causes 80% of ageing and only 20% is hereditary. Damage to the skin is mainly done by the age of 20. A suntan produces deep wrinkles, leathery-textured skin and brown pigmentation spots. Use a daily moisturiser combined with a broad-spectrum sunscreen. If you want a tan, fake it.
2. QUIT SMOKING
Stop smoking if you want to protect your skin from premature ageing. You may not be able to completely reverse the damage smoking has done to your skin, but you will stop the damage from getting worse. Smoking reduces levels of collagen in the skin. The telltale signs of a 'smoker's face' is dull, greyish, dry skin, increased wrinkling around the eyes and puckering wrinkles around the mouth. Is this really what you want for your skin?
3. EAT ANTI-OXIDANT FOODS AND DRINK LOTS OF WATER
For maximum anti-oxidant
Run a blissful bathTurning your bathroom into a five-star spa (well, almost) is easier than you think. All you need is a bathroom, and a healthy inclination towards hedonism.
There is very little in this world that rivals the toe-curling, spirit-lifting pleasure of an all-out spa experience. The sensations, scents and tranquil surroundings are all designed to get you as close to transcendence as you can - without shaving your head, moving to Nepal and meditating on a mountain for ten years (I don't know about you, but I'd take a complimentary mini-mani over a packhorse any day of the week).
We're all pleasure-seekers at heart, which is why the spa industry has become such a prosperous one - but ladies, there is absolutely no reason on earth you can't create a sensory sanctuary in your very own bathroom. Spa prices can be truly eye watering, so you'll save some bucks - plus you won't have to make (and keep) an appointment!
Here's how...It's all about atmosphere

When we think of ombré done right on a brunette, we think of Rachel. Whether she has caramel tips or goes with her natural brown, Hart of Dixie's Dr. Zoe Hart proves that brunettes can be smart and fun. To replicate her perky pony, pull hair back into a pony at your crown. Then finger comb the front to mess it up a bit, and pull two pieces out in front for a makeshift center part. Spray the front with a texturizing spray, such as Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray ($39, Oribe.com).

By BeautyRiot Diva | Beauty on Shine – Mon, Aug 20, 2012 5:05 PM EDTMoment of Truth: I'm the girl that packs an entire suitcase for an overnight stay. On my last weekend getaway, I brought six pairs of heels, eight dinner dresses (not to be confused with flirty summer day dresses), five bathing suits with their matching cover-ups, and enough hair tools to open my own salon. Sure, you can call me the queen of over-packing, but at least I've got my essentials … and then some.

By The chicks at TotalBeauty.com | Beauty on Shine – Mon, Aug 20, 2012 4:05 PM EDTWe've all been there: After a few hours in the sun, you look down and oops, your feet now have a distinct criss-cross effect, your thighs are two-tone, or your décolletage has a bikini-shaped imprint.

While tan lines are as ubiquitous as sunglasses and flip-flops in the summer, they're not exactly ideal. For starters, they're a reminder that you're this-much-closer to sun damage or worse, skin cancer later on. And let's face it -- that string-bikini tan line isn't ever going to class-up an outfit.
Case in point: Kendall Jenner. Over the weekend, the 16-year-old model displayed some eye-catching bikini tan lines at a magazine signing.
