It's no secret that women today will buy any number of skin care products with the hopes of fighting wrinkles and returning their skin to it's youthful glory. So popular are these products that the market is literally flooded with choices. Often times I am asked, "Which Brand works best" or something similar. The truth is, everybody has different skin, and what works best for one person may not work at all for another. Therefore, it's important to experiment with different brands and products until you find one that gives you the best results.

The first step is determining what type of skin you have. There are 5 main categories when describing skin types, which are listed below:

1. Normal Skin

A person with "normal" skin has a smooth and even look. This is achieved by having the proper balance of moisture and oil in the skin. These people have small pores, basely visible at all, and their skin does not appear dry or greasy. Generally, this skin type needs minimal maintenance

Turning up just in time for a scorching summer weekend, the new hydrating face mists are looking decidedly fresh. Once fueled merely by Swiss spring water and a dash of rose oil, today's most innovative formulas are skin-soothing, cell-energizing, humectant-spiked cocktails that offer high-tech treatment benefits-not to mention instant relief from the heat. Simply put, "they just feel good," says makeup artist Daniel Martin, who has already gone through several bottles of Tatcha's green tea, rice bran, and hyaluronic acid-infused spritz since discovering it earlier this summer. "I love layering them on before foundation to prep the skin. In some cases, it's hydrating enough that I don't even need a separate moisturizer," adds Martin, who also uses the mists afterward to set makeup in place. We loved the look so much, that we caught up with her hairstylist Mara Roszak to get step-by-step instructions on how to recreate it! Roszak added Phyto's Phytovolume Actif Spray ($35; sephora.com) to Biel's damp hair before blowing it out with a round brush. "I usually like to blow-dry the bangs first when they are still damp because they're easier to manipulate," she advised. She then put sections into pin curls, and used a mist of Moroccanoil Hairspray Light ($21;moroccanoil.com for locations) to set the style. After gently brushing out the ringlets, Roszak teased the crown and swept Biel's strands back into a ponytail. A final spritz of hairspray secured the look. Perfect!
