Matchy-matchy makeup (coordinating your lipstick with your nail polish, for example) always seemed a little old fashioned to me. I never really considered what my nails looked like in comparison to what makeup I had on-they were a separate entity entirely, an afterthought if you will. But with statement nails having such a major moment, I'm starting to reconsider the whole matchy-matchy thing.

Makeup brands are also making it easier than ever for me to coordinate-or artfully clash!-my colors. M.A.C. recently launched Fashion Sets, three-piece collections of matching nail polish, lipstick, and gloss. And Dior's new summer collection includes four juicy shades of their Nail Vernis-Cosmo (watermelon pink), Calypso (candy apple red), Acapulco (lemon yellow), and Lagoon (swimming pool blue), and two shades of their Addict Ultra-Gloss-one red and one pink. Move over Eau de Parfum, Eau de Paper is having a moment with fragrances that smell like books and paper hitting the market. In the books department, designer Gerhard Steidl and perfumer Geza Schoen teamed up with Karl Lagerfeld to create Paper Passion ($115;steidl.com), a scent inspired by a freshly-printed book, complete with novel-inspired packaging. For those who would rather smell like Mrs. Moneybags than librarian chic, there is Liquid Money, which contains hints of newly-printed Benjamins and comes in an earthy version for men and a crisp citrus for women ($33 to $43; liquidmoney.com). Begin by applying a coat of fresh polish to each nail, or work on top of an existing manicure. Once your nails are completely dry, firmly apply a reinforcement label to each nail in the position of your choice. (Helpful tip: cutting the labels in half helps get a tighter seal.) Apply polish to the part of the nail that isn't covered using a contrasting color and then carefully remove the label while the polish is still wet. Finish with a glossy top coat.

kate middletonRemember that time we all ran out and bought yellow dresses because Kate Middleton wore a yellow dress? And remember that time we forked over a small fortune for J. Brand jeans because Kate wore J. Brand jeans? And remember that time we all decided to get long-sleeved wedding gowns because Kate did? Now the latest way to keep up with all-things Kate is to copy her eyebrows. According to Grazia, brow product sales are up 60 percent since the Duchess' frons have been on the scene.

I mean, even if you're a staunch feminist, every woman has, at some point or another, entertained at least a fleeting daydream about being a Queen or, better yet, a princess. Not the pathetic Disney kind; a real, honest-to-Henry princess with a capital P and everything that comes with it.
Just think about all the cool stuff you'd get to do. The places you'd go, the people you'd meet, the clothes you'd have hanging in your west wing of a closet. And the primping! Having maidens and minions catering to your every wish -- blowing you out, kneading you down, making you up.

By Daily Makeover | Beauty on Shine – Wed, Jun 6, 2012 1:24 PM EDTPhotos recently surfaced of a nearly nude Mark Walhberg getting spray tanned on the balcony of his hotel. While this might be just part of the job for actors, it does beg the question: What do you think of men that tan?

Photos: Courtesy of Twitter
Mark is hardly alone in partaking of this beauty ritual. New Spider-Man (and boyfriend to Emma Stone) Andrew Garfield got a St. Tropez fake glow before walking the MTV Movie Awards red carpet.
While we agree that a little color can really enhance a person's look (it can make muscles look more toned and defined), we can't help but think it's also a little....girly. When we think of big, strong men like Mark Wahlberg, we imagine them shooting bad guys and running from cars being blown up (okay, maybe we've been watching too many action movies), but we don't think of them at the spa getting a fake bake.

Organizing your beauty products isn't the easiest thing in the world. In fact, it's really hard. So we consulted an expert for some advice.
LA Closet Design is headed up by organizational genius Lisa Adams (she's more of a genius/wizard hybrid, if you ask me). Adams has made the rounds with several celeb clients, including Eddie Murphy, Carmen Electra, Kris Jenner, Kendall & Kylie Jenner, Kyle Richards, Whitney Port, Jillian Michaels, Kara Dioguardi and Jewel. In case you don't get your fill of Lisa on our site, watch her in a new show called Million Dollar Closets that airs on HGTV starting June 12th.
Here are Lisa's pro tips around all of that bathroom clutter. Trust me-you'd have never thought of any of these on your own. Get ready to be wow'ed and organized.
