If you've learned anything from reading our beauty content over the past few years, you'll know one thing for sure: Shy we are not. From hair loss to vajazzling, there aren't many things out there that we won't discuss. But, it has come to our attention that there are still some subjects out there that many of you feel ashamed to speak out about - so-called "gross" problems like warts, cold sores, dandruff, ingrown toenails, and body hair.
Part of this embarrassment comes from the stigma that surrounds these issues - the unspoken public opinion on them are that they only happen to people who are unclean. We're here to tell you that is so not true, as these issues can happen to anyone regardless of their grooming routine.
While accepting your body and all of the natural - albeit weird - things that come along with it is righteous, we get that just because you prescribe to the "warts and all" approach to body love doesn't mean you want to, you know,

We know guys can have varying opinions about the hairstyles and makeup we try-when they notice, that is. (Disclaimer: Men's opinions vary on everything except confidence-that's sexy to all of them.)

By Babble.com | Beauty on Shine – Mon, Apr 8, 2013 11:14 AM EDTNo, I'm not asking you to color your lips with an actual crayon! Lip crayons (a.k.a. chubby sticks), are popping up all over the place in our beauty-loving world. In fact, at this time last year, I could only find a handful of them. Today, I found over 20 that would love to make it into your cosmetic collection! Still not sure what a lip crayon is? Let me explain...
A lip crayon is kind of a mix between a lip liner and lipstick in the shape of a jumbo crayon. You get the benefits of a lip liner, but it goes on smooth like a lipstick or lip balm. Some are more sheer, while others are bold and a few of them don't need sharpening. I found them in a range of colors, formulas and prices. You can pay as little as $2 or as much as $25 for one. Click on the gallery below and check out 7 of the lip crayons I found. Who knows, you just might become a fan...if you aren't already!- By Monique Frausto

As we welcome new seasons, it's always interesting to see which hair trends catch on - everyone remembers the ombre craze - and this season, it is already very apparent that redheads will be a popular front runner. Stars such as Ariel Winter, Dianna Agron and Rachel McAdams have all gone for the vibrant hue in just the past few days, and there's no telling how many others will follow. We also can't forget about the classic redheads such as Jessica Chastain, Christina Hendricks, and occasionally Emma Stone who have gorgeous shades that are often requested at salons.

But, whether you're a natural-born redhead or bottle dyed, you know that your makeup routine tends to differ from a blonde or brunette's, simply because you cater a bit more to your striking hair hue. Most of you are no longer afraid to pair a red lip with your red hair (if you still are, don't be - this season is all about a bold lip),Spoiler Alert: Betty Draper is a Brunette!

Betty Draper The season six premiere of Mad Men came with one very big makeover surprise - Betty Draper is now a brunette! The character, played by January Jones, has been a blonde since the beginning of the show, so it was quite a shock to see her reveal a much darker hairstyle toward the end of the show.

I can't help but notice that compounded with the extra pounds Betty's been carrying, this darker hairstyle now has Betty resembling her mother-in-law. Bad news for her husband!

Use a retinol
Dark spots and uneven texture are dead giveaways to your true age. Keep fooling folks by applying an at-home retinol every night. "It's one of the few things that reverses sun damage," says Jaliman. "It will lighten brown spots, improve texture, and make skin smoother. You can see a difference in weeks." By stimulating collagen production, the inexpensive remedies cause dead skin to slough off faster, eliminating signs of ware and dullness. But be aware that retinols make skin particularly sensitive to sunlight, so after applying one at night, be extra-sure to wear at least SPF 30 the next morning. Jaliman likes Neutrogena's Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturizer ($20.99).

Metallic is the "it" color for spring. And while yes, metallic isn't actually a color, it's a thing: Any product that shimmers, sparkles or shines is super of the moment. But there's a caveat: Metallics aren't just for nighttime anymore; in fact, they're even chicer when worn during the day. Think of 'em as your new neutral. But pulling off a gleaming beauty look during office hours can be a bit much -- unless you apply 'em right, that is. We asked celebrity makeup artist Marni Burton (who I graduated high school with, to boot!) to spill the deets on how to shimmer without going into sparkle-overload territory.
FOR YOUR EYES
Burton recommends actually using your favorite powder bronzer as your eyeshadow instead. However, I'm loving creamy formulas that are multipurpose, like the shades in the Topshop Game On quad palette -- either way works. Use a brush or your fingertip to apply color all over the lid and into the crease. Add an element of surprise by using aDigital Perfume: The Bizarre New Product to Hit the Market
