• Everyone was buzzing when photos of Anne Hathaway's new crop cut hit the web. Known for her thick, long chestnut hair, this came as quite a shock, though it was soon revealed it's for Anne's latest movie role. (She's playing the character Fantine in film version of "Les Miserables.")

This got us thinking about all the other actresses who've changed their appearances for a film (and a better chance at an Oscar …). We rounded up the top five ladies who've gone the distance when it comes to full body transformation.

    No. 5 Renee Zellweger

For "Bridget Jones' Diary," Renee Zellweger packed on 28 pounds in just a few months to play the lead role. How? She reportedly ate 4,000 calories a day to get Bridget's famous curves. Though Renee quickly lost the weight, she signed on for the sequel, and had to gain weight again. Now, with a third installment in the works, it sounds like Renee will soon be back on her high-calorie

The folks over at The Daily Mail
are speculating that getting plastic surgery could actually cause an identity crisis of sorts that could lead to personality changes. Make sense or is this hogwash? Let's go over it.

They start with a quote from psychologist and author Dr Vivian Diller found on BuzzFeed, that suggest that after surgery, patients sometimes find "imperfection is actually part of their identity," and with the thing that made you stand out gone, you may suddenly have to build a whole new self image. This is why, the doctors interviewed for the story argue, plastic surgeons must screen their patients well to find out more about their mental state and exactly why they're seeking surgery in the first place.

Unless you're one of the celebrities who can spend thousands of dollars dressing "minimal chic" at Coachella this weekend-the truth is, you probably already spent your savings on the festival pass alone (have you seen the lineup?). But that doesn't mean you still can't look the part. Here, our beauty must-haves for a two-week romp in the dessert:

    Bright Mascara

When you're crushed up against a barrier dancing to Girl Talk, the last thing you want to be worried about is smudgy eye makeup. To steal a trick from the fall runways, after applying your waterproof mascara, use a brush to tap colored eyeshadow onto lashes. This will look bold and unique-and is more likely to last through a mosh pit than a perfectly executed smoky eye.

    Colored Hair Streaks

If you're not ready to take the plunge with permanent streaks, try temporary color with hair extensions or wash-out products. We love Kevin Murphy Color Bug

The new documentary Girl Model hopes to help us get a clearer view inside the international modeling industry-it debuted at the SXSW Festival and will be showing at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in North Carolina on April 12-15. Shot by Ashley Sabin and David Redmon, the film follows a model scout seeking fresh faces for the Japanese market and 13-year-old Nadya Vall, a Siberian girl from a poor family. Vall is handed a contract while riding a train in Russia promising $8,000 and the possibility of becoming a model (her living expenses would be deducted from the advance). Unable to read the

Hey, Olivia Wilde you look pretty great as a blonde! The actress, who dyed her hair for her upcoming flick, Rush, is inspiring some of us around the office to lighten up. You in? Before any of us reach for bleach, I though I'd check in with Sharon Dorram of Sharon Dorram Color at Sally Hershberger in New York City, who made it clear that going from brunette to beachy blonde requires more than just making an appointment.

Here's what you need to know:

If you have gold highlights, then lucky you. Unless you want to go blonde.
"Some brown has so much gold in it, that it will lift through a lot of shades of gold before it goes blonde," says Dorram. That makes it really tricky to get the color right without damaging the hair. So you'll need to do a test run first: Bleach a small section of hair underneath-if it lifts easily to blonde, you can go lighter without frying your strands.

  • In some ads for her new show 'The Client List,' Jennifer Love Hewitt's breasts have undergone a dramatic digital reduction. But why?

Jennifer Love Hewitt The Client ListJennifer Love Hewitt The Client List

Well, this is bizarre: Jennifer Love Hewitt seems to have undergone some pretty dramatic Photoshop in some ads for her new show The Client List… though probably not in the way you would expect. Jennifer's curves have become pretty legendary over the years; furthermore, she's become a role model when it comes to body image, slamming photographers, reporters, and bloggers who called her fat over a handful of bikini pictures. So why the heck have her breasts gotten a digital reduction in these ads?

Here, take a look for yourself. Above is the original ad for The Client List, featuring Jennifer in all her curvy glory; and below is the edited ad, in which her boobs have been drastically reduced (pardon the poor quality; the ads got pulled when the uproar about them started):

Spring is finally here, which means that parties, formals (including prom!) and weddings are quickly filling up your calendar. What better time to try out this season's hottest looks? We asked our friend and runway makeup artist Erica Whelan for the swooniest beauty trends she spotted during Fashion Week this spring.

    SWEET SKIN
"One of the biggest trends at both the BCBG and Michael Kors spring shows was fresh, dewy skin. Put down that heavy foundation and powder and opt for a light tinted moisturizer instead," Whelan says. Use concealer to mask any blemishes or unevenness and use blotting papers, not pressed powder, to freshen up throughout the night. Watch our tutorial to learn how to mimic that model-y glow.

    PRETTY POUTS
"This spring marks the return of soft lip colors," Whelan says. Look for a color that mimics the natural shade of your pout. "Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment is a great 2-in-1 product because it keeps your lips moisturized and comes in a

We're used to seeing celebs wearing candy-colored hair (we're talking to you Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry). But the newest celeb trend is pink hair. Shades from very pale to neon pink and every shade in-between have been seen on Willow Smith, Amanda Bynes (is she the only celeb who looks good in a mug shot?), Brooklyn Decker, Chloe Moretz, designer Chris Benz, Mad Men's January Jones, Ashley Benson…well the list goes on and on.

We asked Janine Jarman, celebrity stylist and owner of Hollywood's Hairroin Salon why this trend is so hot right now. Janine said, "I'm of the opinion that the pink trend is this palatable rebellion. Pink is a soft feminine color, so if you're going to go a little punk rock with your hair, pink is the safest choice. In addition, pink also complements almost all skin types!"

    #1: Zap Zits
Pimples may disappear like magic if you treat them with a product containing an antibacterial ingredient (bacteria can cause acne) and a sebum controller like zinc, says Kansas City, Missouri, dermatologist Audrey Kunin, M.D., associate clinical instructor of dermatology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

    #2: Soothe Irritation
To reduce redness, makeup expert Jane Iredale recommends dusting on a loose micronized mineral powder with titanium dioxide or zinc oxide, both of which have anti-inflammatory properties and won't clog your pores.

    #3: Reduce Wrinkles
A cream or serum with vitamin A or retinol will help counteract fine lines, says Dr. Leffell, M.D., professor of dermatology and surgery at Yale University's School of Medicine, and since it can make
