The Louis Vuitton show in Paris this morning was more than a preview of the brand's Spring/Summer 2014 collection; it also served as a send-off for Marc Jacobs, who plans to end his 16-year tenure as the company's creative director at the end of this year. Indeed, as we speculated last Monday, the designer is leaving the French fashion house to focus on his namesake brand and its forthcoming IPO.

Although Marc routinely delivers spectacular productions under ordinary circumstances, yesterday's event was truly on another level. Rather than a straight catwalk, the models mazed their way through an elaborate set comprised of theatrical elements that nodded to LV's most memorable runway presentations, like a carousel inspired by its Spring/Summer 2012 show and the eerie line of seedy hotel doors from last February. Then, of course, there were the dark, dramatic clothes-sheer bodysuits, baggy trousers, big-shouldered boleros,

Givenchy (left): One could imagine that when the models at Givenchy debuted this killer look a collective gasp was heard from the audience. McGrath crafted 15 masks from a hodgepodge of glitter, sequins, beading, crystals, and two types of paint, and then topped it with what looks like black netting. All of this was done to match designer Riccardo Tisci's Japanese and African-influenced collection.

Christian Dior (right): According to Style.com, the brows were "covered in layers of glue, metallic theatrical paint, and glitter...appearing as if they were cast from the precious metal itself." McGrath finished the look with a swipe of blue or seafoam green eyeliner.

DKNY We're still not sure what color is the new black, but if the runway looks at Fashion Week are any indication, then orange lipstick is poised to become spring 2014′s hottest makeup hue.

We spotted the shade at a slew of shows, including DKNY, where makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury mixed two shades of Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lip Color - Electric Orange and Neon Red ($7.49 each at maybelline.com) - then blotted to create a matte finish.

We swooned over the almost neon red-orange pouts at Rag & Bone. Revlon Global Artistic Director Gucci Westman combined a matte lip liner with a shade she's just developed for spring 2014, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Carnival. "It's inspired by the World Cup in Brazil, so I wanted it to be bright, poppy," she explained.

Sophia PanychI snapped about a thousand pictures at Dolce & Gabanna--and not just because it's my job. The look was so pretty that even models like Bette Franke were uploading selfies on Instagram. "I always love this show because they make the girls look so beautiful," said hairstylist Guido Palau. The pairing of his romantic, adorned style and makeup artist Pat McGrath's blush-y, feminine, I-just-spent-a-month-vacationing-in-Sicily makeup meant there was practically an overload of prettiness backstage.

From the very first step, McGrath set out to warm up the models' skin so they would look "cherubic, golden, and sun-kissed." To do this, she chose a foundation shade "a tone slightly warmer than their skin tone." Then, she mixed Dolce & Gabbana The Blush Luminous Cheek Colour in Apricot, Rosebud, and Peach and brushed the potent hue across the cheeks, chin, and hairline. On the lids went the prettiest shade of gold you've ever seen--the

Milan is widely considered the most "industry" of the four international fashion weeks, generally drawing more buyers and editor types than paparazzi-targeted actresses and It girls. Still, a good number of stars jetted over to Italy to support their favorite designers and, of course, show off some molto bellissimo outfits in the process. As Fashion Month marches onward, each city has their own distinct style. The New York runways were full of wearable looks, while the catwalks of London were truly bizarre. But Milan? It's heavenly. From gorgeous red carpet-ready gowns to sexy cocktail attire to lux pantsuits, the looks are so stunning they just had to be rounded up in one place. Warning: you may find yourself daydreaming of an alternate reality where you're a chic Italian woman spending her days frolicking in luscious silk and organza. Ah, what a life. Perhaps because it's the last leg of the spring 2014 runway marathon or that the City of Lights is such a historic hub for the shows, but the arrival of Paris Fashion Week always signals the time for bringing out a real statement look. As such, Vogue's Style Editor at Large Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis is packing only the most stylish essentials. A backpack is a practical way to carry everything she needs on the go (like rice crackers, a new favorite ever since she returned from Japan), and a striped Raf Simons x Eastpak version elevates the simple staple. Same with a pair of cool Miu Miu brogues, and quirky Comme des Garçons Bermuda shorts. TNT tops her suitcase off with a Smythson notebook that says it all: J'Adore.

Last year's overabundance of insane nail art made us think the runways at New York Fashion Week would be littered with a bunch of bare--or barely there--nail looks. We were pleasantly surprised, however, by the understated yet interesting manicure ideas we saw on the spring 2014 runways. Check out 10 new nail ideas to consider now.

Earlier today, Prada's Spring 2014 show walked in Milan-and in the grand tradition of all Miuccia Prada productions, it was pretty spectacular. Much like the fashion house's last spring show, which featured puzzling platforms with toe-separating leather socks, there was a shoe bound to cause a stir: this time, it was a Teva-style sandal encrusted in chunky gems and paired with sporty, striped leg warmers. Yes, leg warmers.
But what really caught my eye during the livestream were the bras-and no, this wasn't your average case of peekaboo underthings. There were knits featuring color-blocked trompe l'oeil versions, sparkling brassieres embroidered onto winter coats and, in several cases, actual bras worn atop cocktail dresses (or perhaps they were actually built right in-it was hard to tell). Basically, Miuccia Prada took Spring 2014's undisputed top trend, the crop top, and turned it on its head (or should we say, flipped it inside out). She also essentially made the lookRead More »from From Prada to Bra-da: Should We All Start Wearing Our Underwear as Outerwear?
