The official release of Katy Perry's highly-anticipated new album is less than a week away, and we already have a good idea of what to expect from Prism (other than general awesomeness). In addition to her irresistible single "Roar," we've already been listening to the bass-heavy club tune "Dark Horse" and '90s redux "Walking on Air" on repeat. And now, the album's second single "Unconditional" has surfaced online. At this rate, the entire LP could leak before it drops on October 22! (Not that we're complaining, of course.)

The latest track is a power ballad that features Katy's killer vocals. Shimmering, spine-tingling synths and major percussion turn the heartfelt love song into an emotionally-charged anthem. Before you take a listen, get ready to tap into your sensitive side-you'll be singing along with the soaring chorus in no time.

The skinny jean has claimed the spot of importance in most modern girls' wardrobes, but we're begging you - this Fall, make sure your denim arsenal includes a pair of flares. Wider than a bootcut but more reined in than a bell-bottom, the flattering cut hugs the thigh before spanning out under the knee. The number one styling trick for making the silhouette work? Height! The leggiest of ladies can make them work with flats, but the rest of us lean on platform wedges or booties to get helpful extra inches. Click through to see the pairs we love and ways to wear them, from the most casual weekend errand to even a Monday morning meeting.Read More »from 7 Ways to Wear Flare Jeans This Fall

There are two very important things you need to know about yesterday's Golden Heart Awards dinner in New York City: 1.) It was held by God's Love We Deliver (a charity that provides meals to people homebound by illness) to honor its biggest patrons and best volunteers, including former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and beauty guru Aerin Lauder. 2.) The guest list included some of the most stylish ladies in the world, dressed not in intimating avant-garde silhouettes, crazy prints or giant ball gowns, but in some of the most approachable outfits I've seen on the red carpet in a long time.
Rather than you-can-only-wear-this-once looks, the ensembles were make up of solid investment pieces (like pencil skirts and tan sweaters) that can be mixed and matched in other ways-except, perhaps, for Giovanna Battaglia's dress, although her peplum-waisted LBD was basic enough to wear on several occasions. I've included five of my favorite looks from lastRead More »from Five Celebrity Cocktail Party Looks You Need Right Now

I currently have two books on my desk: an Adobe Illustrator textbook and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. You know, the essentials. The Harry Potter books came out when I was in junior high and high school, though I was a late-comer and didn't really get on board until my junior year. Regardless of when I finally discovered them, the timing is such that a lot of adults around my age grew up immersed in the wonderful world of Harry Potter. And, as you may have noticed, we Potterheads are a rather passionate group. Much of this passion has made its way to Etsy, which is a total treasure trove of Harry Potter jewelry, accessories ,and clothing (I spent an hour just looking at the phone cases. There are some crazy talented people out there). Some stuff is kind of silly, but some of it is really awesome. Here are some of my favorite finds.

Melissa McCarthy’s November ELLE cover seems like a score for plus-size women — fashion magazines don’t exactly have a history of showcasing diverse body types — but the actress is wrapped in a bulky coat, a move that isn’t sitting well with many fans.At first glance, Read More »from ELLE Magazine Under Fire for Melissa McCarthy Cover

Every November, ELLE puts out its “Women in Hollywood” issue, featuring the buzziest female celebrities. The issue (on stands Oct. 22) features various stars on its covers. McCarthy’s issue features the funny lady rocking bombshell bedroom hair but wearing a wool and cashmere blue Marina Rinaldi coat, revealing only a tiny patch of skin on her decolletage.

Besides all of the obsessive planning for baby, I was definitely guilty of shoving a pillow under my shirt every now and then and fantasizing about when my baby bump would start to show. But when it did? I was totally unprepared! All of those clothes in my closet that I had off-handedly thought would be great for my pregnant self? Yeah…not so much. My boobs were huge, my body had morphed into something unrecognizable, and I couldn't afford a brand new wardrobe. I just wanted to cry when I got dressed every morning of my third trimester. Take it from me, your maternity wardrobe doesn't need to be so angst-filled, and you certainly don't have to go out and buy a bunch of brand new maternity clothes! Here are some simple maternity style tips I learned along the way for making your old wardrobe work with your new body and for how to get the biggest bang for your buck when shopping for maternity clothes.

This year, Halloween falls on a Thursday, which means most of us have to work a 9-to-5 before heading out into the night. To save you from dashing home to make a quick change after you punch out, or picking up a pair of cat ears from a nearby Ricky's, we've come up with five costume ideas that you can actually wear to work. These looks are all office-appropriate and, with the addition of a few iconic pieces, will take you from a breakfast meeting to a midnight masquerade. Whether it's Margot Tenenbaum's fur coat or Wednesday Addams punctuating her Valentino-esque uniform with a pair of Charlotte Olympia spiderweb flats, these add-ons are anything but afterthoughts.

I'll admit it: I had royal baby fever. If you did, too, consider Kate's hospital exodus look; it's equal parts iconic and easy to put together.
Step one: Give yourself a killer blowout.*
Step two: Keep your makeup natural, but go a little heavy on the blush and undereye liner and don't forget to define your brows.
Step three: Put on a blue dress (as close to periwinkle as possible; bonus points for polka dots) and find yourself a white blanket and a baby (fake is probably best for party-hopping).
Step four: Whatever you do, don't suck it in. (A major bonus of this costume.)
