Clothing company Wool & Prince, founded in New York City by entrepreneur Mac Bishop, has developed the “better button-down,” a tailored men’s shirt that can be worn for 100 days straight with “No washing. No dry cleaning. No wrinkles. No odor.” Funding has come from a Kickstarter campaign, which had already pulled in more than $167,000 on Tuesday—putting it $135,000 past its goal way before its May 22 deadline. While the retail price has yet to be announced, shirts are available to Kickstarter investors for $98 each.

Matt Lauer It's no secret that Matt Lauer has had an incredibly difficult year. The "Today" co-anchor was deemed responsible in the media for his former co-host Ann Curry's incredibly controversial departure from the show. Numerous reports labeled him as beyond difficult, cold, and essentially a 55-year-old male diva. So, as anyone with a $25 million annual contract would do, Lauer has decided he needed something to help him relax at this $15 million Hamptons mansion-and therefore bought a $1.4 million Hinckley T38 yacht.

The brand new yacht is named "Resilient"-and frankly, given the public beating he's taken recently, we can only assume it's a way of keeping his confidence high. It could also refer to his marriage with model Annette Roque (the duo have had ups and downs over the years, with a divorce petition filed-but removed-back in 2006).

By Babble.com | Fashion – Tue, Apr 30, 2013 11:53 AM EDTAfter I posted slide shows of my kids' proms on Babble here and here, I was sent a link to Disney's Forever Enchanted Spring 2013 Collection of prom dresses. I didn't even know Disney made prom dresses, but who better to create a gown fit for a princess, right? After scrolling through the pictures, I decided I wanted to go to prom just so I could wear one of those gorgeous gowns. Better yet, I wanted a 'do-over'! I want to trade in the fluffy, frilly, pale peach Gunne Sax dress I wore in 1988 (and the big hair that went along with it) for one of these beautiful gowns (and a straight iron for my hair). This got me thinking about how styles have changed through the years. I put a shout-out to my readers on Facebook, asking for their prom pics and as usual they came through with flying colors! Page Six reports that Lindsay Lohan will be following up her stay this summer at the Seafield Center in Westhampton Beach with a gig blogging for website Celebuzz about lessons she's learned. Her ultimate goal would apparently be to "launch her own site with her musings on art, fashion, music and movies." Frankly, the move doesn't seem too off the mark for the actress-Lohan definitely considers herself an authority on the arts (see: Her former Twitter bio, which stated that she was an "artist of many things").

Last week, a 2012 Urban Outfitters financial report surfaced online that included comments made by the company's CEO Richard Hayne that essentially explained his marketing philosophy to Wall Street folks. To specifically describe the target Urban Outfitters shopper-the company also owns Anthropologie and Free People-Hayne said this: "The Urban customer, we always talk about, is the upscale homeless person, who has a slight degree of angst and is probably in the life stage of 18 to 26."
Now, we're pretty sure his remark was meant merely to evoke a specific image, but it was only a matter of time before angry Internet commenters started to take him to task over the use of the word "homeless."
This got us thinking about that fact that the fashion industry has been referencing (even fetishizing, some might say) the homeless for years now, in everything from editorials, runway collections, and comments to the media-and often creating mini-controversies
