Finding the perfect dress can be a daunting task: with endless options how to pick the right silhouette, color, and fabric? We spoke to Nikki Pennie, celebrity stylist and style council member for David's Bridal, who told us the shift dress is universally flattering on ladies of all ages, shapes, and sizes. Made of shearling featuring red rope ties, the mukluk-ski boot/Timberland franken-shoe looks as comfy as an Ugg…but there's a reason we try not to wear those out of the house. Net-A-Porter is selling them for a whopping $840, and predicts that they're "set to be the must-have shoes of the season" - a claim we're a bit skeptical of for a high-heeled snow boot, but then again, it's Isabel Marant. Girl can slap a label on a baguette, and we'll wear it on our feet. However, we can probably count on one devoted

Dior is typically slammed for having a completely Caucasian cast of models, and it seems that creative director Raf Simons has taken criticism to heart. His last haute couture collection featured a much more diverse mix of women including Joan Smalls, Alek Wek, Ming Xi, among others...though one obvious face was left out. After being nixed from the lineup, supermodel Jourdan Dunn took to Twitter to explain why:

Paris Fashion Week began like any other. Socialites, celebrities and editors converged for the Spring/Summer 2014 Menswear, Ready-To-Wear and Haute Couture collections, to catch a glimpse at next season's designer trends. It was business as usual for the event which runs through Friday, until an invasion of soldiers in leather skirts and snap-on diapers turned the runway into a dystopian dream-scape.
