Kristen Stewart When it came time for the red carpet at last night's Met Gala, we had a list of people we couldn't wait to see-and Kristen Stewart was definitely one of them. The 23-year-old starlet turned up (sadly without Robert Pattinson) in a glamorous red jumpsuit by Stella McCartney, and was instantly one of the night's standout stars.

Naturally, we had to consult her longtime stylist, Tara Swennen-who also dressed Teresa Palmer in Diane von Furstenberg for the big night-to get the full scoop. Swennen and K-Stew have worked together since the actress was 14 years old, so it's no surprise that she has some great insight into the A-lister's much-discussed sense of style.
Below, Swennen dishes on what it takes to style such a major event, as well as Stewart's fashion evolution, and the one trend the "Twilight" actress refuses to try.

WWD/Steve EichnerGivenchy designer Riccardo Tisci was not only co-chair of the Met Gala, but he also dressed 13 women attending the event, including Beyonce, Madonna, Rooney Mara, Florence Welch, and Kim Kardashian. Kim's dress was intriguing, since it had matching gloves that were attached.
When I posted my best-dressed roundup, you said the skintight floral dress wasn't your favorite, but it turns out Tisci loved his maternity fashion moment.
"I have dressed many pregnant women in the past," he told WWD. "People can say what they want. To me, pregnancy is the most beautiful thing in the world, and when you celebrate something, you give people flowers. I think she looked amazing. She was the most beautiful pregnant woman I dressed in my career."

I love Riccardo's take on dressing Kim. It's been disappointing to hear people criticizing her pregnancy weight gain, and so it's especially nice to hear him come out inThe Corsage: Prom’s Hottest Accessory
By Sarah B. Weir, Yahoo! blogger | Fashion – Wed, May 8, 2013 11:46 AM EDT"Mullet" gowns are trendy, platform stilettoes are in, but the real breakout item for prom 2013 is the corsage. Once a slightly dowdy accessory, now clever DIY'ers (and some florists) are using rhinestones, feathers, LED lights, and found objects to make one-of-kind pieces that are modern and sassy-and cheap. Prom costs are soaring and shoppers can expect to spend a bare minimum of $25 on a store-bought corsage. If you want to make your own, the always-hip Rookie Mag has an easy tutorial. Here are our favorites from Instagram.

Face-off. Kind of literally. No apologies for the pun.
Score one for the bearded. Again. For now. Because a new study published by the journal Evolution and Human Behavior reports that women find men with "heavy stubble" most attractive, trailed by an apparent mob of disgusting fully bearded, lightly stubbled, and clean-shaven men, all of whom the fairer sex found to be about equally attractive to one another. (In fairness, full beards were rated highest for perceived parenting ability and healthiness.)
Plus: 75 Things Men Don't Know About WomenFor the bald-faced among us, this comes as a bit of a surprise (by which we mean: punch to the groin). It was only three years ago that Schick's Skin-dex Survey declared that shaven men have sex about twice as much as those who don't. And that 64% of women would rather sleep with a cleanly shaven man - senses of humor and bloodlines held constant, we assume. (For the reasonable skeptics of companies who release polls: Schick does make a trimmer, too - though we of course see your point.

Justin Bieber Justin Bieber is a bad luck magnet as of late-and it's partially due to his reckless behavior. Two days after making international headlines when a fan attacked him onstage at a concert, the 19-year-old pop prince is in hot water with the Dubai police for his excessive speeding.

According to reports, the Biebs has been tooling around the swanky city, located in the United Arab Emirates, in a $400,000 white Lamborghini Aventador. He has been caught on a speeding camera a whopping total of six times during his short trip, and now he's got some hefty fines to pay.
This is not the first time he's caused some controversy on the road. Despite his young age, he's got millions in the bank and a penchant for fast cars-and was recently pulled over for racing his Ferrari in his gated community in Calabasas, California.
Our question here is: Why was he driving inWhy Your Cheap Clothes Are Harmful: Just Say No to Fast Fashion

I have been working in "slow fashion" for a couple of years now and am familiar with the consideration and care that goes into designing and producing not only an entire collection, but each individual garment. I work for the small, Brooklyn-based brand Nadia Tarr. We use American-made fabrics and manufacture locally in Brooklyn, which has given me a new insight into the industry and how important each step of the process is. It has also raised my expectations in terms of clothing quality.Fast-fashion giants like H&M and Zara are perfect for the girl on a budget who wants to look good traipsing around Manhattan. I used to pick up cheap wears in bulk-and some of the far reaches of my closet still house the remnants of my "quantity over quality" phase… otherwise known as my twenties. But at the end of my discount decade, what do I have to show for it? I don't have one fabulous frock that has survived even two washes or trips to the dry-cleaner. The only pieces

By OKMagazine | Fashion – Tue, May 7, 2013 4:32 PM EDTSienna Miller had my favorite hair look at the Met Ball last night. Not only did she embrace the evening's Punk: Chaos to Couture theme perfectly in a white Burberry dress and embellished jacket, but her textured hair, spiked headband, and Genevieve Jones ear cuff crushed the competition on the red carpet.

Oscar Blandi created the look for Sienna and we're got the steps on how to recreate it:
1. Add tons of texture to fully dry hair using a mix of pomade and gloss (Pronto Dry Sculpting Pomade & mix with Pronto Gloss). The hair should feel very thick and "dirty," but the gloss should keep hair looking sleek and polished.

2. Take the two sides of the hair and slick them back using a mix of serum and mousse (Hair Lift Mousse & Hair Lift Serum).
3. Use a curling iron to create a light bend in the hair.
4. Take both sides of the hair and pull them back as you would a ponytail.Twinsies! Mind-Blowing, Matching, Mother-Daughter Fashion

But fashion doesn't cross the generation gap very easily, and what may look great -- or at least acceptable -- on a child often just looks bizarre on a grown woman. And vice versa. Take a look.
Kate Middleton's Tiny Purse Collection
By Elise Solé, Shine Staff | Fashion – Tue, May 7, 2013 3:34 PM EDTKate Middleton has access to all the fashion accessories in the world but her style mainstay is undoubtedly her vast clutch collection. And much like anything Middleton wears, she's pushing tiny purses into the spotlight. According to a story in The Guardian, handbag designer Lulu Guinness credits the Duchess with sparking a new handbag trend. "If she's done anything for the handbag, it's the fact that she wears small clutch bags," Guinness recently said at the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design opening party in New York. "Personally, I am making my clutch bags smaller next season, so they're more delicate and ladylike, and that's to do with her, I think." Here are Kate's favorite clutches throughout the years.
