At last year's Academy Awards, Chanel celebrity makeup artist Kate Lee changed Anne Hathaway's lipstick "three times in about five minutes" because of last-minute wardrobe decisions (you may have heard a little something about that). But amidst the lipstick and wardrobe chaos, Hathaway took home the award for best supporting actress. This year, needless to say, was a little less frenzied (for both ladies). "Her stylist sent me a picture of the dress a few days before, so I had an idea of what we were doing," says Lee. "The vibe was very relaxed, because she had to just show up and give someone else an award." We spoke with Lee to get all the details on Hathaway's gorgeous makeup look, but especially how to get those killer brows.
Skin. Lee prepped Hathaway's skin with Chanel Hydra Beauty Serum and Creme. "It's like a drink of water," Lee says. She let both sink in while Hathaway had her hair done, before applying Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet in BeigeRead More »from Allure Exclusive: We Got the Scoop on Anne Hathaway's 2014 Oscar Makeup

The Eyes. "We wanted the brows to be dramatic. I filled in the eyebrows using Chanel Crayon Sourcils Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Noir Cendré to add a stronger shape, but it's still pretty soft. Last night, Jared Leto took home the Oscar for best supporting actor, saved a slice of pizza for his mom, and rocked his best waves yet. In other words, a good night. I talked to Chase Kusero, Leto's hairstylist and colorist of five and a half of years, to get the scoop behind his Academy-Award winning look.
How far ahead do you plan the hair look? "Jared and I usually decide day of, though a couple of days ago we thought maybe we'd put his hair up. But when I saw the white Saint Laurent blazer, I thought, We've just got to go with him and what he's known for, which is his hair."
Where did you get ready? "At his home, in the movie-star room. Just kidding. In this little room off his kitchen."
Be honest--are those waves natural? "The last time he had long hair was in the 2000s, and he used to razor and cut it a lot, but now he doesn't and has a lot more natural wave. I use aRead More »from Celebrity Hairstylist Chase Kusero on Prepping Jared Leto for the Oscars

Christian Louboutin or Prada may come to mind. But this spring, the Adidas Stan Smith sneaker — the best-selling tennis shoe of all time — is suddenly the most coveted, hard-to-find shoe. The Stan Smith initially launched in 1973 and was named after American tennis champion Stanley Roger Smith, but nowadays the minimalist sneakers can be spotted on everyone from Kanye West and Pharrell Williams to Céline's uberstylish creative director Phoebe Philo and fashion blogger the Man Repeller. Thinking about buying a pair? Sorry, they're sold out. When you think of an "it" shoe, designer brands like

Adidas has had quite a history with its Stan Smith kicks, which feature three rows of perforated holes on the side in place of the signature stripes. Aside from being worn by Smith while taking home U.S. Open and Wimbeldon titles, they were name-checked in a 2001 Jay Z song. More than 30 million pairs were sold over the past four

Friday Night: The rain forecast this weekend is setting everyone on edge. You can barely maintain this level of smoke-and-mirrors glamour in a hermetically sealed lab, let alone out in the world when it's pissing rain. I thought we put up with the traffic and plastic surgery in L.A. in exchange for good weather. What gives? My makeup artist, Sara Glick, arrives a half hour early and catches me eating peanut butter straight out of the jar. I don't even stop. This is still my time. Aubrey Plaza is my date for the evening. Our first stop is the Giorgio Armani party, and she's on her way to pick me up. The thing about these events is that most of them just serve booze and slivers of vegetables on rice crackers, so you

Like most women, I love to dress to impress -- particularly for special occasions -- but don't have the budget to spend like a red carpet celebrity. And like some people love couponing when grocery shopping, I myself love searching for the best deals possible in fashion.
Recently, I went to a super fancy event, and was excited to break out my favorite high-end labels that I secretly bought for a fraction of the retail price. And I didn't get my looks from stores like TJ Maxx or Loehmann's, where it can be a hit or miss. I bought directly from the upscale stores without the upscale price tag. In the end, I put together an outfit that only cost me $300 but retailed for nearly $1500. Here's how I scored the best deals:

Comfort, chicness, versatility. These are the key points on the sartorial checklists of all women, but they're so much more important for moms-to-be. Buying a whole new wardrobe sounds excruciating even to us (and we love to shop), so it's a huge bummer when mothers are left with maternity clothing that no longer fits them after childbirth. But, with HATCH's newest collection, this problem is a thing of the past.Read More »from Hate Skintight Clothes? You'll Love This Brand

That said, you don't even need to be on your way to mom-dom to enjoy this line. In fact, for those of us who love roomier pieces, these items are just the ticket. The spring '14 collection serves up an array of sophisticated and effortless looks - a style HATCH has always been an expert at. Plus, the pretty palette of blush and earthy tones will accentuate whatever glow you've got going (whether it's bun-in-the-oven-related or from a new NARS blush), and it's so mood-liftingly pretty, you'll forget how gray
