Rosa Parks made history nearly six decades ago when she refused to vacate her seat on an Alabama bus to allow a white man to sit, and her seemingly small act of civil disobedience became a major moment in black history in America - one that will now be honored by buses in Hillsborough County, Florida.

Rosa Parks was arrested that night, when after a long day of work, she refused to vacate her seat on a Montgomery bus for a white man. Parks, who died in 2005, explained that the driver ordered her to move under threat of arrest and she said:

"The driver wanted us to stand up, the four of us. We didn't move at the beginning, but he says, 'Let me have these seats.' And the other three people moved, but I didn't."

It's now an annual rite of the holiday shopping a season --- a consumer advocacy that calls itself W.A.T.C.H issues a list of the "10 Worst Toys."

At a Boston news conference at the Franciscan Hospital for Children, the group put out its 2012 list Tuesday --- its 40th list by W.A.T.C.H.'s count --- and among the toys on this year's list are ones with small parts that are choking hazards for small children.

The group's director is James A. Swartz, who is also affiliated with the law firm Swartz & Swartz. He is a trial attorney whose practice includes cases involving product liability injuries. W.A.T.C.H. stands for World Against Toys Causing Harm.

The current chairman, U.S. Rep. Dan Lungren of California, lost reelection this fall. House Speaker John Boehner appointed Miller chairwoman of the committee.

Miller said she was "humbled and honored."

"This committee has the responsibility to ensure that the House runs in an effective and efficient manner which is vital as we work to meet the many challenges facing this great nation," she said. The San Antonio Spurs were fined $250,000 on Friday for sending top players home before a nationally televised game against the Miami Heat, the National Basketball Association said on Friday.

The Spurs, who have one of the oldest rosters in the league, sent four of their top players home to rest before Thursday's game, which was the final game of a six-game road trip for San Antonio and their fourth game in five nights.

"The Spurs decided to make four of their top players unavailable for an early-season game that was the team's only regular-season visit to Miami," NBA Commissioner David Stern said in a statement.

Actress Mayim Bialik has filed for divorce from Michael Stone, her husband of nine years. Bialik is seeking joint custody of the couple's two children.

Bialik filed the divorce petition in Los Angeles on Nov. 21, People reported. Bialik, 36, most famous for playing the title role in the television situation comedy "Blossom," has most recently been starring as Amy Farrah Fowler on "The Big Bang Theory." Bialik and Stone have two sons together, Miles, 7, and Fred, 4, People said.

The couple were married in August 2003, E Online reported.

Bialik, in the divorce papers obtained by TMZ, is seeking joint physical and legal custody of her two children.
