Halloween candy has been lining store shelves for at least a month now, and if it's not hard enough to resist buying those gigundo-sized bags of chocolate bars, there's now another October-31-inspired treat to tempt you: Last week Nabisco released Candy Corn Oreos in Target stores. As you may guess, this version is white vanilla wafers sandwiching yellow and orange cream. Following up on my popular Anatomy of a Cadbury Crème Egg post, I wanted to take a closer look at these colorful cookies.

While most of us think we know what candy bar brands we prefer, only a blind taste test can reveal the truth. So we put our money where our mouths are and set our to find the best miniature (or "fun size") candies for your trick-or-treat or candy bowl stash.
To make things more interesting, we decided to pit lookalike candies against each other. Our doppelgänger contestants included Hershey's Reeses Pieces vs. Mars Peanut Butter M & Ms, Hershey's Bliss dark vs. Dove Promises Dark, and five other pairs. In addition, we had two separate panels: one composed of adults and another with kids ages 10 to 17.

Trick or Treat
Gone are the days when you could throw a sheet over your head and call it a Halloween costume. Halloween is serious business. Retailers expect Americans to spend about $8 billion on the day, according to a National Retail Federation survey conducted by BIGinsight.
Of course, part of the fun of the holiday is coming up with a creative Halloween costume. About $1.1 billion will be spent on children's costumes this year.
For kids, there will be plenty of the traditional costumes: princesses, super heroes, witches and pirates. But even these popular themes are subject to interpretation.
