Yesterday, you may have taken judgmental note that your colleague Steve didn't wash his hands on his way out of the bathroom, but it turns out the bathroom's not even the filthiest place at the office. Yes, indeed, a new study has found that there are far worse bacteria-infested areas in the workplace.

Research led by Dr. Charles Gerba, professor of microbiology at the University of Arizona, swabbed 4,800 different workplace surfaces while testing for adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is a common molecule found in bacteria and mold cells. An ATP score of 100 or less was considered clean, but if it reached 300 or more, it was considered porno casting-couch dirty.

So what were the filthiest spots? The break room sink faucet was at the top of the list, with 75% of them being deemed bacteria-covered. And that sponge you use to wipe down your plates and forks before using it? Most are chock full of E. coli.

Not far behind were microwave door handles -- 48% had scores

Jennifer Aniston stepped onto the red carpet with cupping marks on her back. The first time I learned the term "cupping" was in 2004 when Gwyneth Paltrow showed up in photos with what appeared to be circular hickeys on her back. Recently Jennifer Aniston turned up on the red carpet with similar marks, piquing my interest once again. After all, if cupping was good enough for two of Brad Pitt's exes, then it must be good enough for me.

Cupping is not exactly new. It's an Eastern medicine practice that is often used in conjunction with acupuncture to treat everything from stiff necks and shoulders to respiratory problems. The belief is that when you have these problems, it's caused by blood that's stagnant, and the cupping helps get your blood circulation moving, not unlike a deep tissue massage.

I wasn't worried about testing out the treatment until a co-worker asked me if they would be doing something called blood cupping (the name alone scared me!), a process where an

You know who would totally have a kick-ass blog? Laura Ingalls Wilder. She was the original Pioneer Woman - not only did life take her from the big woods of Wisconsin to the prairies of South Dakota to Missouri, she carefully chronicled the hardships, achievements, and other adventures her family encountered along the way. Heck, Little House on the Prairie has an entire chapter on building a door for your sod house. If that's not DIY, I don't know what is.

The do-it-yourself pioneer woman spirit is alive and well in modern-day females, too, but while Wilder was churning her own butter because it was the only way for the family to have it, women today are doing so because it fulfills an artistic and creative longing. In a piece called "The Rise of the Crafty Hipster, Michelle Goldberg talks about legions of hip young women who choose to engage in domestic pursuits for a living. Whether they feel stifled by the corporate

  • Knox with Cuomo. Photo: CNNCNN's interview with Amanda Knox, which aired Tuesday night, is getting some unexpected attention from critics. Wednesday, Gawker likened Chris Cuomo's sit-down with Knox to sexual harassment, calling his aggressive line of questioning about what he repeatedly called her "freaky" personal sex life. (You can watch an excerpt of the interview here or watch it in its entirety when it's rebroadcast on Saturday night.)

On Thursday, after a barrage of negative viewer feedback on Twitter, a CNN spokesperson defended the interview, telling Yahoo! Shine, “In this interview, Cuomo wanted to give Knox the opportunity to speak to the prosecution’s theories. He asked tough questions that reflected those of the prosecution, not his own ideas or beliefs. We encourage people to read the full transcript and watch the entire interview for full context.”

But an inside source at Harper Collins, where Knox's book was published, had a very different take. Apparently, some folks involved with the book felt the

  • I Tried Gwyneth Paltrow’s Diet

    BY REBECCA HARRINGTON

I have always been an admirer of Gwyneth Paltrow, I am not afraid to admit it. She was so good in my favorite movie, A Perfect Murder. I also think her secondary career as a lifestyle guru is rather inspiring. If there wasn't a GOOP, I would not have an eye-mask that has hollow indentations so that your eyes can blink.

The Cut When Gwyneth came out with her newest cookbook, It's All Good, I was really excited. I have her other cookbook, My Father's Daughter, already. It is a really good cookbook for the average woman (me). There are some healthy recipes and there are some delicious recipes. One time I had a dinner party and I made beer-battered fish tacos from that book and everyone liked them. This is saying a lot because usually my dinner parties are miserable failures in which people start ordering sushi in front of me like I'm not even there.
This new cookbook of Gwyneth's has an interesting genesis.
