1. "Once a cheater, always a cheater."
Perhaps you feel your friend should never again trust the person who was unfaithful to her. "But this type of all-encompassing comment leaves no room for the possibility of the situation getting better," says Dr. Sherman. "You're squashing all hope, when, in fact, some relationships do heal and improve with work." Instead, focus on her present state of mind and acknowledge the intense pain she's experiencing by saying something like, "I can't even imagine how you

Duck familyDear Em & Lo,
I am engaged to the father of my child. Since I met him, it has been one problem after another. He has brought debt into my life; there is a rumor that goes around that he is sleeping with my co-workers; I just found out that any time he goes on a trip, he sleeps around; and he is still in communication with his ex-girfriend, though he claims he has not spoken to the girl for a long time. What surprises me is that he lies so much. I would love to break the engagement, but am feeling sorry for my six-months-old baby. I am confused - I have tried to forgive, but I can never trust him again. Will things work out?

Oh, we hate the hard ones!
If we were a Magic Eight Ball, we would answer your question, "Will things work out?" with the succinct: "Outlook not so good," or "My sources say no," or "Don't count on it." Actually, screw that - the Magic Eight Ball is not nearly blunt enough. Here's our short answer: Get out now.Read More »from Should I Stay with a Cheat for My Newborn Baby?

We've been eagerly waiting for Lance Bass to dish wedding planning dirt since his romantic proposal to boyfriend Michael Turchin in New Orleans' Jackson Square. We're happy to report, we've hit the motherlode: Bass divulged exciting details to ABC News earlier today that a televised wedding special may be in the works.
This is a far cry from fellow 'NSYNC alum Justin Timberlake's hush hush approach to wedding planning. (The "Take Back the Night" singer wed love Jessica Biel in Italy just last year in near secrecy.)
"I love a party. It's going to be nice and big and over-the-top," Bass said. "The network offered us a big wedding special. Knowing myself in the 1980s growing up a gay kid in Mississippi, I would loved to have seen something on TV I could relate to and go, 'Oh, my gosh, I could do that!'"

The Devil card suggests that in an effort to satisfy your own longings, you could inadvertently hurt someone else or bring distress to your love life or relationship. Overcompensating for, or attempting to deny repressed personal issues or hang-ups could be blinding you to the consequences. Seeking instant gratification may not bring you any satisfaction, but may be more of a mask to cover past hurt, fear, guilt, secrets or rejection. Don't be a victim. (Newser) - Kyle Froelich's kidneys were failing, and he'd been waiting for a good match-little did he know what his plight would bring him. He met Chelsea Clair in 2009; she'd heard about him, and almost immediately decided to give him her kidney.
Froelich, then 19, and Clair, then 22, found out a month later she was "almost a perfect match," Clair tells the Indianapolis Star. As they supported each other through six months of tests and doctor's appointments, they grew closer. After the successful transplant, they became a couple-and on Oct. 12, three years later, the Indiana couple got married.
"There's a bond that no one else, unless they've done it, can know," Froelich says. "She's my best friend." They have an 11-month-old son and are also raising Clair's 6-year-old daughter.
On each anniversary of the transplant, they throw a party-called "Sparkypalooza" because they've named the kidney Sparky. "He's carrying around my kidney," says Clair. "I have to make sure he takesRead More »from Kidney Transplant Patient Marries His Donor

Katy Perry Katy Perry is all pouty on the cover of W magazine's November issue, but if we're to take anything away from her interview, it's that the pop star has every reason to be smiling.

The singer's runaway hit, the pop anthem "Roar," has soared to the top of the American charts, dethroning Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" and becoming Perry's eighth number one hit. What's more, within the first three days of its release, the accompanying video received 35 million views on YouTube. Purr-ty good. It's no wonder The New York Times called the 28-year-old (her birthday is Friday) "pound for pound … the most potent pop star of the day-her hits are relatable with just a hint of experimentation."
