Getty Images While you were sleeping, E! News was reporting that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got engaged last night, on the evening of her 33rd birthday.
According to the report, West popped the question in front of family and friends at San Francisco's AT&T Park, the Giants' stadium, which he had rented out for the occasion.
While the couple's friends and fam looked on and a 50-piece orchestra played Lana Del Rey, Kanye proposed, backed up by a Jumbotron reading "Pleeease marry meee!!!" (UPDATE: Though earlier we said Kim's ring was a 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond, E! has since nixed that part of their story.)

Talk about a nice birthday surprise - Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian yesterday on her 33rd birthday! He popped the question in front of their friends and family at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, which he rented out for the occasion.
Before proposing, West asked future mother-in-law Kris Jenner for her daughter's hand in marriage. As a 50-piece orchestra played "Young and Beautiful" by Lana Del Ray, followed by "Knock You Down" by Keri Hilson ft. Ne-Yo and Kanye, a message popped up on the jumbotron reading "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!" West got down on one knee and gave her a 15-carat diamond ring by Lorraince Schwartz, according to E!
The couple has been together for about a year and a half and are parents to four-month-old North West. This will be the third marriage for Kardashian and the first for West.
Congratulations to the happy couple!

The Five of Swords card reversed suggests that at this time, it may be best to leave well enough alone or to take the moral high ground, as issues or memories of disrespect, abuse, cheating or trickery may be lying right below the surface. Opening this can of worms may bring everyone down. Keep your information or knowledge of a hidden truth to yourself, and just privately enjoy any personal victory without resorting to public embarrassment. All the parties involved have had an equal hand in bringing about the current circumstances, so any attempts to 'win' will be ultimately fruitless. Let it go -- it isn't worth it.

Comic-Con is mecca for fans of everything from Tomb Raider to Doctor Who, but this year, after a sweet surprise proposal, it showed us its softer and-dare we say it?-romantic side as it also became an amazing place to get engaged. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, co-stars of cult-hit The X-Files were just wrapping up a Comic-Con reunion panel on Oct. 13, when 30-year-old Michael Acuna was chosen to ask the last question.

And total cuteness overload ensued.
Acuna, who told reporters he had been engagement ring-shopping for a while without his girlfriend's knowledge, had flashed the diamond ring to staffers at the event to show them what he had been planning so he could get in and ask his big question.

Courtesy of InstagramIn an e-mail conversation between your blogger and VF.com editor Sarah Ball discussing Britney Spears' endorsement of James Franco for the now-available role of Christian Grey, Sarah declared, "Team Eastwood!" Your blogger had not previously considered the oft-shirtless Son of Clint for the role of the bondage-loving billionaire, but, once Sarah had floated the idea into the Gmail atmosphere, it became clear: he would be as close as it gets to a perfect fit for the part (for reasons we'll enumerate in a second).
So imagine our surprise when along came an item last week-as if willed into existence by our caps-locked conjecturing-that the 27-year-old actor "has been approached for the role." JustJared says he is "one of five actors being considered."

New data from Pew reveals that 11 percent of adults have used online dating sites. Of those 11 percent, 66 percent have actually gone on a date with someone they met through a Web site. Of that 66 percent, more than 50 percent claim that at least one date "seriously misrepresented" himself or herself.

The singer just confirmed the happy news on Twitter: "I'm officially Mrs. Blackstock :) We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever!"
She also shared two gorgeous pictures from the big day:
The couple picked up their marriage license on Thursday, sparking rumors that the wedding would take place this weekend. After originally planning a 200-guest backyard celebration, they changed their minds back in August and decided to elope with just Blackstock's two children.
"It was exactly what they wanted," a source revealed. "It was beautiful."
Next on Clarkson's to-do list? "I already told him that when we're past the wedding, I want a baby," she told Access Hollywood.

When I dreamed about my wedding day as a young woman, I pictured hours holed up in a Starbucks somewhere, latte after latte consumed as I pored through my wedding-specific binder full of detailed plans. I pictured my new husband whisking me off to a tropical honeymoon, a day of love captured forever for our future children to see. I pictured a wedding that would make the hundreds of hours of watching "A Wedding Story" on TLC with my college roommate completely worthwhile. What I didn't exactly picture was planning a wedding for 500 people. In less than two months. During my senior year of college. While pregnant. But as the saying goes, such is life. Or maybe that's not really a saying, but it should be. Because boy, did I get a fast lesson into what true love and marriage are really about, and it's definitely not a day or a binder full of seating charts. With some help from the people that loved us most, my soon-to-be husband and I were able to pull off the wedding of our dreams,Read More »from 7 Surprising Ways to Save Money on Your Dream Wedding

,Is marriage more about your head than your heart? Did you know that your thoughts could be the biggest deterrent to a healthy marriage? Our expectations and mindset are linked to the success and failure of many different areas in our lives, including our marriages and relationships.
An article I read on YourTango makes the point that "if you can harness the power of expectation, you can dramatically change your relationship and your life." Think of it like this …You weren't ready for that
Have you ever been given a beverage that you assumed was water, but when you had a sip, you discovered it was lemonade, or tea, or worse? It could have been the best tasting lemonade or tea in the world, but your expectations ruined it for you.
