1. Amy Poehler: Self-Proclaimed Feminist
After learning that Taylor Swift was upset with her Golden Globes joke, Amy let the world know: "Aw, I feel bad if [Taylor] was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff."
2. Stephanie Meyer: Girlfriend-Loving Feminist
"I think there are many feminists who would say that I am not a feminist. I love women, I have a lot of girlfriends, I admire them, they make so much more sense to me than men, and I feel like the world is a better place when women are in charge. So that kind of by default makes me a feminist. I love

Guys with engagement ring funds want to avoid pulling a Joey. We've heard of girls saving up for their wedding dresses way before they even have a man. But a completely single guy stashing money away for an engagement ring? That's unheard of...until now.Read More »from "I'm a Guy with an Engagement Ring Fund"
By Juan Garcia
Ten years before he would ever meet and propose to his wife, my longtime friend and former roommate Ian invested in a diamond for a future engagement ring. He was 100 percent single at the time.
His engagement ring fund began when he was 18. Ian's father knew an old German Gemologist and encouraged him to start saving up for a rock. "It's a smart thing to do," his dad said. The idea behind this early investment was simple: He knew a wife would eventually come into his life and diamonds don't really go down in value. Why not get a jump on one of the biggest purchases in life? Inspired by his father's wise words, Ian began putting his pennies away and asked the jeweler to keep an eye out for a quality stone that was well-priced. It wasn't too long before the jeweler

The Killing's Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos)Okay, if you can get past the fact that the entire series revolves around the brutal murders of pretty young girls, "The Killing" on AMC (whose third season premiered on Sunday night) is actually a great feminist television show:Read More »from 5 Reasons Why “The Killing” is One of the Best Feminist Shows on TV
1) The main character, homicide detective Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos), is a strong, tough, independent woman who doesn't need a man. She doesn't even want a man. Her passion is her job.
2) There are lesbian characters (plural!) who are also strong, tough and independent. In the first two seasons, Sarah's best friend is a lesbian; in this season, she's getting married. And there's a new character, a street kid named Bullet who's as compelling as Linden's colorful partner from the first two seasons, Stephen Holder; Bullet is in love with another runaway girl (who doesn't know it). None of these romances is given any special treatment - they just are.
3) Stephen Holder, her tough-as-nails partner, is also - you guessed it - strong and independent. He's rough

3. The Soulja Boy rap video

Harry Styles had the performance of a lifetime this past weekend -- playing Best Man at his mum's second wedding! The 19-year-old One Direction singer walked mother Anne Cox down the aisle as she married longtime partner Robin Twist, who helped raise Styles after his parents divorce (when he was just seven years old). The nuptials took place at Pecks Restaurant in Chesire, England.
Harry Styles' mom's wedding was a true family affair.
The 19-year-old "Kiss You" and "That's What Makes You Beautiful" crooner shared the honorable title with his step-brother, Mike, while his sister, Gemma, acted as Maid of Honor. He and the groom wore matching suits from Burberry for the special occasion, accessorized with a white rose on the lapel (to match Mom's bouquet).
As if the whole thing couldn't get any sweeter, he reportedly sang "Isn't She Lovely," which was his audition song for X Factor, the show that catapulted the band into stardom! Swoon. According to The Daily Mail, StylesRead More »from Harry Styles Walks Down the Aisle...As Best Man!

Karl Lagerfeld Wants to Marry His Cat. ReallyKarl Lagerfeld, the always-eccentric head designer for Chanel, recently spoke to CNN about his desire to marry his cat, Choupette. And it doesn't really sound like he was kidding.
"There is no marriage, yet, for human beings and animals…I never thought that I would fall in love like this with a cat."
Plus: The Craziest Moment in 'Bachelorette' History
If Choupette gives her, er, consent to the union, she'll enjoy German citizenship, and presumably have rights to Lagerfeld's estate upon his death. She would not have to change her name, as she already goes by Choupette Lagerfeld. She also already has three maids to tend to her every need, and, as a cat, is unlikely to outlive Lagerfeld (as old as he is), so, really, I don't quite see what's in it for her. Though it'd be one hell of a wedding party.
If you'd like to follow Choupette Lagerfeld on Twitter, her handle is @choupettesdiary.
Oh, and by the way, no one is ever allowed to call us crazy cat ladies

Now that summer has (un)officially arrived, we are beyond excited to bring our brightest attire back to the forefront of our closets. One of our favorite bright combinations? Pink and orange! This color combination is perfect for summertime weddings, and we love when couples mix in hints of coral and citrus as well. In order to get this look, we suggest mailing your guests pink and orange chevron invitations, having your groom dress up in his brightest pink and orange attire (if he's daring, of course), and painting the chairs at your reception tables hot pink.
We have many more ideas for this palette that we're sure we'll be loving all summer long, so check out our pink and orange filled gallery from Lover.ly. After browsing, make sure to leave us a comment with your favorite pink and orange detail!Read More »from PHOTOS: Summer Lovin’ - Pink and Orange Wedding Palette
live aloneI'll never forget the summer I spent living on my own. And I'm not talking "on my own" as in my own bedroom with a bunch of roommates or a plush apartment financed by my parents.
I'm talking completely, totally, 100% on my own.
During the summer before my senior year of college, I rented a teeny, tiny one-room student apartment near my university's campus, so cramped I had to set my mini-TV stolen from home on top of my fridge and so small I could practically make an omelet from my bed. My college town was dead, with students home or traveling for the summer, so I very well could have found a cheaper apartment or took in a roommate.

But I decided that the price of experiencing true freedom was worth a few extra bucks.
With my serious boyfriend off working in another state and my own busy schedule of full-time work and full-time classes, I relished, for the first and only time in my life, a summer spent answering only toRead More »from Why Every Woman Should Live Alone Before Marriage

The Ace of Wands card suggests that the potential for a new sexual attraction, love connection, fertility or readiness to pursue intimacy could be liberating, but you may have to take matters into your own hands if communication or inhibition is an issue. Enthusiasm, passion and spontaneous or innovative romantic plans or announcements could be present in your love life or relationship at this time.
Your last hurrah as a single lady should be fun, fierce and fabulous. Fine, maybe a little outlandish, too (exactly how much is up to you).
