This Thursday is Take Your Child to Work Day. I remember as a little girl dressing up to go to work with my father; he was the CFO of a research company and always made time for Take Your Daughter to Work Day. I felt so grown-up to be attending his office with the suits and the important-looking people and the big desks. These days, I have my own office and big desk and coworkers. I sit at a desk from 9 am-5 pm each workday, working in Online Strategy & Services. I adore my job and my company and am so proud when I tell people what I do for a living. Harrison is a little young to be attending Take Your Child to Work Day; he's 3 1/2 and unfortunately, I don't have coworkers that train mice to run through mazes. Instead, I compiled a list of things I've learned after a decade of work and one year in my dream job:
