Leave the sweatpants behind - these pieces keep things ultra casual and can be thrown into one of your overnight bags in a flash. Plus, you can mix and match them all weekend - less to carry, more time to explore/relax/see friends. The only thing better is that they're all under $40.

After having friends compliment my clothes, ask where I shop, and claim I have "expensive taste," I have decided to share some of my Bargainista philosophies. Shop at secondhand stores. These places are great for window-shopping because they can be hit-or-miss--you never know what you're going to find. While these kinds of shops are not your best bet if you're looking for a very specific item, you can find hidden gems if you keep an open mind. This same advice applies for stores like Nordstrom Rack, Marshall's, and Filene's Basement and even for sample sales. With the new "Sex and the City" sequel around the corner, the Times of London took a moment to reflect on what they felt were truly the most fashionable movies ever. For starters, they had some really good choices. We definitely would have selected "Annie Hall," "Bonnie and Clyde," "Bell de Jour," and "Grey Gardens." And we'd agree that "The Talented Mr. Ripley," "The Matrix," and "The Royal Tenenbaums" were some of the most fashionable movies in recent years.
