After three years of sowing his wild oats, Dasher the Cat has been reunited with his family in Fremont, CA.
The orange tabby had packed up his bags and litter box, and left his home unannounced back in 2010. He'd been dropping hints for years that he needed time to explore the world and experience life as a young, independent, strikingly handsome feline. Every time a family member opened the door, Dasher, who goes by Dash, practically begged them to let him check out a few trees in the neighborhood. They refused.
When he saw a screen door accidentally missing one morning, he knew it was his chance.
CBS San Francisco reports that Dash was last seen by his family curled up asleep on a bookshelf on May 5th of that year. An aggressive search effort was made in the weeks following his disappearance, but unfortunately, Dash was long gone.
