You may have heard of 2 Chainz, and you will likely remember some of the elements on the periodic table, but there's no way you've ever put the two thoughts together… or into a music video.
"That's Metal" is just that: science rapped over a trap music beat, and made into a music video by an inventive biology teacher named Tom McFadden, and his middle school students at The Nueva School in Hillsborough, CA.
The video is the latest release by the "Science Rap Academy," Tom's creative way of piquing kids interest in science from their already established love of hip-hop by turning beats and rhymes into alchemy experiments. Before getting his current job, the Stanford grad worked full-time traveling to schools and making these videos, which parody popular hip-hop tracks with science themes.
Kanye's "Clique" becomes Watson & Crick in the battle of science history, and the Black Plague gets mashed with the Yellow Fever in a Wiz Khalifa throwback jam.
