YOUR FRIENDS' ACTIVITY

Budget-friendly date ideas for football fans

Who's ready for some football? One of the best things about fall is throwing on a hoodie, chowing down on some wings and cheering on your favorite team. It's even better if your guy is just as much into football as you are. With the season upon us, it's time to get into the spirit of the game with some budget-friendly football inspired dates.

Have a couples flag football game

If you're a couple who has a good amount of coupled-up friends, ask them to get together for a flag football game. Sure everyone can go out to dinner and drinks for couples night, but flag football is much more fun not to mention great exercise.

Go to high school and college football games

The prices for NFL games are incredibly expensive, especially if you're figuring the budget for two people. If you want to go to football games more often, have your dates at high school and college football games. It's a great chance to take your guy back to where you went to school and for him to do the same with you. The cost will be a fraction of what you would pay at a professional football game.

    Toss a football around

One of the best spur-of-the-moment activities for when you need to get outside in the crisp, cool air is to toss the football around with your guy. Make it even better by bringing along some apple cider and treats so you can relax and chat afterward.

Have a football night at home

Instead of heading out to the bar to watch the game, turn it into an event at home. Pull out the most comfortable blanket, pick up your favorite beer and cook an entire buffet of food even if it's just the two of you. Throw on some jerseys and get ready to cheer on your favorite team.

    Have a football movie marathon

I have a huge love of football movies and there's no better time to watch them than during fall. Turn a date night into a football movie marathon by renting some great football-themed movies such as "We Are Marshall," "The Waterboy," "Rudy," "Friday Night Lights," "Remember the Titans" and "Invincible." Don't forget the popcorn!

With so many football-inspired dates, it's almost impossible not to get into the spirit. Not only are they budget friendly, but they're a great idea to do during the off-season when you're going through football withdrawal.
