1. Don’t have a curling iron on you to rev up drooping curls? Revitalize your style with Ouidad’s Botanical Boost Conditioning & Refreshing Spray ($16, ouidad.com). It eliminates frizz, adds shine and freshens hair without rewashing. Just spray a few pumps in your hair, scrunch, and twirl your curls.
2. Lots of flyaways dragging you down? Jonathan Product Silky Dirt Shine and Define Crème ($28, jonathanproduct.com) does the trick. This vegan wonder product not only smoothes long, straight hair, it also adds texture to short styles. Just rub a small amount in your palms, and then smooth over hair. Focus the product on the ends of short styles for added movement.
3. Never leave home without a few bobby pins and a bungee hair tie ($2.99 -$4.99, rickysnyc.com). You can easily create a sleek ponytail with the bungee tie or make a chic chignon by wrapping the ponytail around the base of the bungee tie and then securing the ends with a few bobby pins.
4. Banish away oily facial shine with Sephora’s Tricks of the Trade Mineral Touch Up Powder ($18, sephora.com). Sephora’s newest translucent pressed powder not only absorbs excess oil, it also minimizes the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles. Lightly pat the included powder puff over shiny areas to evenly distribute the powder and avoid a cakey look.
5. If under-eye bags and blemishes are causing you stress, knock them out with Benefit’s Erase Paste ($26, benefitcosmetics.com). This amazing concealer hides dark circles, brightens skin and zaps zits in a snap. Simply scoop up a small amount on the enclosed spatula, and then dab product on troubled areas with your finger and blend.
6. Want the 411 on enticing eyes? The new Soft Touch Shadow Pencil from Nars ($24, narscosmetics.com) is the answer. This creamy shadow shades, highlights and lines, all with the portable ease of a pencil. Apply it just like eyeliner and then blend with an eyeshadow brush wherever you want shimmering color.
7. Layer your lashes with Fresh’s Supernova Mascara ($25, fresh.com). The conditioning formula lengthens lashes and allows for reapplying without making them brittle.
8. Get cheeky with Dior’s Pro Cheeks Ultra Radiant Blush ($31, dior.com). The foolproof mousse-like texture glides on effortlessly and builds beautiful color gradually. Smooth blush on fingers first to warm the product up and then blend on the apples of your cheeks for sheer color.
9. Pucker up with Shiseido The Makeup Automatic Lip Crayon ($23, macys.com). This glossy long-wearing lip color is built like a lip liner with the bang of a lipstick. The genius design twists out and you’ll never need a sharpener
.

10. Glow like no other by giving your skin instant radiance with Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir ($15, caudalie-usa.com). It contains essential oils and active plant ingredients which stimulate microcirculation. One spritz to the face smoothes skin and sets your makeup for the evening too!

After relocating from Hollywood to New York City, makeup and hair artist Dora Salgado continues in her quest for the perfect red lipstick.

I haven't tried any of these products, but I know they are all good brands. I would add urban decay's eye primer potion to the list.
