11 Style Icons Who Won't Quit

Thanksgiving has come and gone, which means the holiday season’s officially upon us. As we look forward to the parties, cocktails and other festivities that mark the next few weeks, let’s reflect on eleven late, lovely ladies whose style continues to leave a mark - and will well into the future!

Coco Chanel once told Harper's Bazaar "simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance.” And it’s that approach that helped Chanel launch the flapper movement, the little black dress and, yes, her coveted suits. Chanel may have closed her eponymous house at the start of World War II, but she came back in 1954. Here you see Chanel relaxing in her library after a long day at the office. And, quite frankly, she makes exhaustion look simply fabulous!

Actress-turned-Princess Grace Kelly made us all believe in happy endings, and her effortless style had us dressing as if we were waiting for our own Prince Charming. Look, even Jackie O was bemused by Kelly’s fashion when they met at the White House in 1961!

Do we really need to explain Jackie O’s inclusion in this round-up? No, we didn’t think so. The queen of Camelot’s style has carried into the 21st century – especially those trademark black sunglasses! Oh, how we adore them so!

I think that along with history fashion often repeats itself. I'm glad to see that classics like these will always be appreciated and in style.
