4 Cute Ways to Wear a Vest
partner
If cracking open the latest issue of Glamour at your
desk is an office no-no, might I suggest clicking through Flickr for a little
mid-day fashion inspiration. I spent some QT on the photo site last
week and stumbled upon a few great photos of girls in vests.
(I’ve got a few in my closet that need some freshening up.
Right now, every time I see them I just think of the Girl Scouts
uniform. Not cute!) For instance:
New Yorker Anne upgraded the go-to
weekend outfit of jeans and a sweatshirt by trading out a hoodie
for the knit vest she made herself! (Impressive right?) If
you’re into Anne’s style, you can find her at
Another
Shopgirl.
The Coveted’s Jennine of
Frankfurt Germany dressed up a basic tan vest with a white-on-white
look. (Granted, this one works best in mild climates like San
Francisco, where the photo was taken, but even so, I like how
she’s both dressed up and dressed down at once.)
And last but not least, the
charming Caroline and her playful vintage style caught my eye. I
can’t decide which of her looks I like best: the quilted
‘70s toggle vest with wide-leg jeans or the ‘80s denim
vest over a kicky plaid dress. (She knows her way around retro
styles...she and a friend have
a cool vintage shop
on Etsy!)
What about you? Which look
do you like best? Did seeing these photos make you re-think vests?
Are you as enchanted by Flickr fashion as I am?
How about this great $50 & Under find from Target? It's a
perfect way to wear this trend well into
winter.
