A Night of Fabulosity: Kimora Lee Simmons for JCPenny

Attention fashionistas and budget babes alike! Glamour's fabulous Men's Editor, Kirk Shannon-Butts, got a sneak peek of Kimora Lee Simmons' new line for JCPenney and he brought the stylish scoop back for us!

Upon my arrival to the launch of Fabulosity by Kimora Lee Simmons for JCPenney, I was given a yellow wristband granting me access to the VIP Red Carpet arrivals and later, to a prime seat in the audience of the energetic runway show.

While JCPenney fashion usually calls to mind effortless, easy basics, Kimora's Fabulosity line is part of the brand's effort to venture into more fashion-forward territory. And judging from the high-impact show I witnessed today, JCPenney knocked the ball out of the park!

The youthful line features trendy high-waist and skinny denim jeans, slinky tops, school-girl blouses, and girlie dresses - all of which channel Kimora's own glam-luxe look. (I especially loved the knit dresses and tops: See me backstage with the show's stylist Memsor Kamarake and the look sans model. She bolted from the room before I could get through the packed crowd!)

"Fabulosity is fun, fashionable and chic," said Kimora of her new label--not to mention affordable: The pieces are priced at a wallet-friendly $29 to $108 and will retail exclusively at JCPenney stores and jcp.com.

Budget-friendly, fun clothes that are super easy to score? Sounds like fabulosity indeed!*

Head over to Glamour to check out the rest of the pics from the event.

*In a previous version of this post, JCPenney and Kimora Lee were incorrectly said to be donating a portion of the line's proceeds to the Afterschool Fund. In fact, the two are hoping to align Fabulosity with the JCPenney Afterschool Fund, a charitable organization that provides children in need with access to after-school programs.

I don't understand Kimora's Fashion sense or why she is suppose to reign over Fashion when she herself dresses like a Drag Queen looking for tricks. I do however applaud her entrepreneurship, but I find her repulsive.

I love Kimora's style she's hood fab and dat is the definition of FABULOSITY. I can't stand when pep hate and jus don't give props to those who are doing their thing. Why a drag queen to each is their own. What may not work for you works for her. One thing for sure is every is entitled to their own views.
