A ridiculously sexy plus-size swimsuit—from Monif C

Thanks to Manolo for the Big Girl, for pointing out this new line of bathing suits from Monif C. When I saw the pictures, I said oh, wow, and when I clicked on the link, I said holy crap. Because holy crap, they are sexy. You're not going to swim any triathlons in them, or do anything more than just a couple of laps, but that's not what these suits are for--these are for lounging in your beach chair with a pair of movie-star sunglasses and a giant hat and idly lifting your hand to summon a worshipful beach boy when you require a refill of your delicious piña colada in a pineapple, or a deliciously lazy flutter over to the swim-up bar. They are glamorous, sexy, a little Joan Collins-flashy, outrageous and nutty in an awesome way, and you will be completely as hot as the summer sun, this season.

And if you need a little more style inspiration, here are more fab fashions that I crave.

Let me just say "THANK GOD" a company finally uses a plus size girl to model their clothes. Nothing makes me madder than getting a plus size catalog with twiggy (compared to me) models! As for the swimsuits...they are nice, but way out of my price range.

I think it's great, but yes a litle expensive. Not much more expensive then the ones i buy at lane bryant, but i find that those and much of the clothing i buy from lane bryant last years as apposed to getting them at walmart. So, sometimes you have to splurge, but in the long run is a good buy!

As an alternative, check out www.torrid.com for more plus size swim wear and clothing. (No, I am not a rep, just a big girl fed up with clothes that don't fit). Their styles are often trendy and are modelled by plus size girls - not stick insects.

I use to be a plus sized gal.........and I still looked great in my clothes and bathing suit. Wear clothes that hide your flaws and not let's em hang out. Bathing suits...the little skirt effect does wonders!!!!!!!!!!

How big is plus size? What about a bathing suit for an over three hundred and fifty pounder?
