I've been a faithful reader of Shine since launch. With tons of
advice used with great results, I figure I should give back. I just
turned 24 years old but it's never too early to start
preventative measures. I'm a smoker (currently trying to quit),
so I had some fine wrinkles starting to show, particularly laugh
lines and also worry lines on the forehead. They weren't really
that noticeable but it was enough to make me want to go out and buy
tons of different anti-aging/anti-wrinkle products to get rid of
them. Some products worked for just part of the day, some
didn't work at all, some left me with terrible breakouts and
allergic reactions.
I was fairly recently introduced to a product called the Galvanic
Spa by a NuSkin distributor (My boyfriend's mother), and of
course I'm always the skeptic. She showed me some before and
after pictures and also some of herself which kind of did pique my
interest a bit but wasn't enough. She then showed me some
articles and information on paper about it all and I was then a bit
more interested but not sold. She was like "well how about
this, I'll let you try it and you will see a difference in 20
minutes". I was like ok what is there to lose, its free. She
had me watch a short instructional DVD so I could do the spa on
myself and I just did it along with the video. It's a little
hand held device complete with a computer inside of it that omits
either negative galvanic currents or positive galvanic currents.
There are 2 vials of gels that you use on your face. I will call
them step-1 and step-2. Step-1 is in a clear tube which brings out
all the impurities in your face even from the deep layers of your
skin. You put this gel on your face and then you set the Galvanic
Spa to the negative current and you just rub your face with this
device in a set amount of time which the device keeps track of as
well. Wash the gel off, then you use step-2 which is a blue tube
filled with the anti-aging gel that has an ingredient in it that
targets the aging enzyme on the skin and stops it in its tracks
which is called ageLOC. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Those fine wrinkles I
had on my face? GONE. My skin was more toned and it just looked
amazing. I was sold at that point. Now I use the spa 2 times a week
and I can actually go out without wearing makeup. Maybe a little
mascara and lipgloss or a little blush, but no more covering up any
imperfections with foundation or powders, NOTHING.
Now you are probably saying to yourself, well it sounds good but...
whats the catch? I bet its very expensive... It IS a pretty penny
if you look at it one way, 350 dollars. But if you look at it from
another point of view, you spend how much on makeup a month? you
spend how much on face care/anti-aging products a month? you spend
how much on spa treatments and facials a month? you spend WHAT on
cosmetic surgery? You pay ONCE 350 dollars, you get the spa/spa
holder/carrying case, two boxes of facial gels, body shaping gel
(yes you can target those cellulite areas which im currently
working on for the past 3 weeks and yes...ITS WORKING!), ageLOC
DVD, instructional card, and a brochure of all the other products.
At this point you are probably like, well, you still have to keep
buying the gels. Yes but it actually equals to about 8 dollars a
treatment, which is not bad compared to going to the spa to get a
40 dollar facial done and not really seeing great results even
after one treatment. It's all worth it in my opinion but I
guess it's just that. My opinion. But I thought I would share
my opinion with all you shine readers out there. I am now a
distributor of NuSkin products so if you would like more info, feel
free to email me. tlacosta1@yahoo.com
