Are Blond and Brunette the only hair colors out there????

I have been reading so many blogs on "studies" that focus on blondes and brunettes (as if the are the only natural hair colors out there).  Don't get me wrong- the blogs/articles make for good reading but they are nothing more than that to those of us with black, red, auburn, or in some cases mixed-colored hair. I don't know how all of the other people with "forgotten" hair types/colors feel, but I would love to read more about studies or advice for OUR hair colors/types. Are we too complex to "research"? Are we boring? Maybe scientist and sylist have us all figured out???? Does anyone feel where I (owner of a head of thick, curly, beautiful black hair) am coming from? I'd love some input.

Yes, I know where you're coming from. I'm red head with dark brown eyes and very fair skin but the only makeup advice for redheads I ever see assumes that if you're a redhead, you must have blue or green eyes. Nothing for redhead with dark eyes.

EXACTLY!!!! And w/ eye makeup.... they usually are giving advice geared toward whites and "light-skinned" ppl... not anyone the color of brown surgar or darker w/ dark brown eyes..... :'( I wish all the beauty advisors would expand their research.....

I understand what you're saying, but I think the study was meant to make blondes look vain. I certainly wouldn't want to be a part of a study that helps reinforce stereotypes, would you?

Plus, the study was done in the UK. I don't see it as a reflection of American habits.

correction for the good "Doktor": the study was showing a supposed link between prep time and self-esteem...

    Adding to:

"The theory goes that since blondes spend more time primping, they look better/feel more confident and ergo have more fun."

Beautiful hair is just beautiful hair. Regular people shouldn't be able to comment on sexy. They just probably don't understand... and how could they? Some people are fake sexy as hard as they try and are horrible reporters as easy as it seems.
