Awesome anti aging skin care line so much cheaper than even drugstore products.
For years I spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars using
Origins skin care--I love the stuff. It's natural, you
bring packaging back for recycling, smells fresh, my skin soaked it
up, it's alcohol free and I love everything they have.
Having said that, their prices kept going up and with so many clients recycling the packaging--why do the prices go up so high? We all know that most times we are paying for the beautiful packaging as well as the product. I know this because I did it for years. I loved being in the women's restroom at a nightclub and pulling out my Dior Lipstick, Lancome blush and my Miss Dior, Zen, White Shoulders or Tatiana perfume. Well, I got tired of spending so much money on these things--I loved them but, I knew there had to be a different approach out there. This started me on a mission to find a natural skin care line with decent prices. It took me awhile. First, I went to a bunch of health food, vitamin and beauty supply stores. Wrote down brand names. Smelled the products and then went home to research them online. It came down to two product lines 'dermaE' and Reviva Labs.
I chose the Reviva Labs because it had a larger variety of products and the prices were lower than Origins. Then, I found vitacost.com and they sell the products cheaper than Reviva Labs does. My skin is better than it has been for years. I'm 56 and my husband is 48. He's been asked a few times if he 'robbed the cradle' damn, I felt like a million bucks.
They have some products that are stand outs--mind blowing almost. The 'Light Skin Peel' I use it once a week and my skin just glows and looks so smooth. I always look at my face with a magnifying mirror before I use it so I can see the 'after' results--just makes me feel good. They have glycolic & hyaluronic acid products but, they're very gentle. (They cost an exhorbitant amount for them in dept. stores.) Needless to say I'm thrilled and I use mostly anti-aging products but they have products for a lot of different skin problems.
I feel so proud of myself for not feeling the need to use expensive skin care products--just so I can say I use it. I'd rather have products that actually show results, are way less expensive and who cares about the packaging? Finding it cheaper @ vitacost.com was like the cherry on top.
When it comes to perfumes/colognes I went back to some old favorites--perfume oils. So natural smelling and lasting. My favorite is the 'Terra Nova' line. They have sprays, body washes, oils, body creams and body lotions. Scents like Pikake a Hawaiian flower used in leis--smells like Hawaii, Gardenia, Rain, China Rain, Tuberose (another personal favorite) etc. I get more compliments on how I smell, I can mix the scents and you can layer it quite effectively.
I'm so glad I did it. I feel like I look better, I know I smell better and I feel like I want to spread the word. Especially in our current economy.
