Because we're hair obsessed: A new site tells you exactly where to get the perfect cut

You know how you see a woman on the street and you think, "Oh My God, I love her hair. I want that hair really, really bad." And you almost stalk the woman, but, realize this will be crazy, so instead you just try hard to remember the style. Then, the next time you go to the salon you try to describe this perfect hair and kind of can't and the stylist doesn't know what you want and then you leave with a bad haircut and maybe cry?

Well, the new site MopShots.com is out to change this entire,  coveting-other-people's-haircuts-making-them-your-own insanity. It's an online service which showcases real women with beautiful, modern, fresh-from-the-salon hairstyles. Then it lists where each person went for the cut (locations all over the country) and the name of the stylist who created the 'do.  Additionally, a panel of fashion and beauty experts weigh in and explain why each look works.

This is how the site describes itself:
"MopShots is the online hairstyle lookbook from Citysearch where users can submit photos to show off their ‘dos, and the pros can boast about those of their customers’, too. Our team of established experts in the field — The MopShots Dictators — review submissions, provide advice and select which shots get featured on the site."

What a brilliant idea! Do you realize how much easier this could make trying both a new salon and trying a new style?

or maybe you could just ask the person who cut their hair... most people are happy to tell you.

Is the "where did you get your hair did" supposed to be cute? It sounds stupid... I checked it out and didn't see anything new or fresh...

I like this idea! Yes, I'm sure most people would be happy to tell you where they got their hair done, but would they be willing to let you take a snapshot and write a description of how the style was achieved and give you a name and number to call? Probably not.

My gosh, just approach the person and ask where she gets her hair done and the name of her stylist. More often than not, the stranger will offer her first name (because lots of stylists reward referrals), so just call the shop, make an appt. and tell the stylist you were referred by X and would like a similar cut. Most will know exactly who you are talking about and will take it from there. Why make an extremely simple conversation so complicated? Are we really so incompetent that we can't just take the first step ourselves?

you can go to the mall for a good hair cut but, also you pay a lot more. and you can get a hair cut for $10.00 in a small town. also if you go to super cut's they do a great job and treat you right. and it is only $12.00, I also found out if you dont shop for 6 months and save up you can do a lot more with you're money.
