A first glimpse backstage

Fur and glam gowns. Sounds about right!

Baby Phat is not your typical fashion show at New York Fashion Week. Remember my backstage report of the Jason Wu show? Yeah, nothing like that. Designer and former model Kimora Lee Simmons is a seasoned veteran and her star-studded audience is full of her pals, which means her show is typically more like a party. Though she moved her show from Roseland Ballroom (capacity: 3,500) to the classier Gotham Hall (capacity: 800), it still felt like a family affair and was one of the livelier events we've attended all week.

Yes J Montana there's a pic of Kimora at the end.

And apparently she's pregnant for sure this time.

Hopefully Ice T's wife will find some clothes to wear. She is practically topless!!!!!!

If I went out like that my husband would have a fit. Ok, scratch that, he would never let me out with my tits hanging out.

As for the show, not bad. But what walk down her runway is never what I see on the street. I see her brand all the time, but it looks pretty trashy. And tacky.

It's so fascinating to see what inspires these designers each season. I like the MAC makeup look they created for this show. And I'm a particular fan of the model diversity ;)

Another great wrap-up Joanna! Great pics from behind-the-scenes too. Keep it coming!
