BFF: The return of friendship jewelry

Remember in fourth grade when you and your BFF got friendship rings? Ours were two halves of a silver heart, that when fit together spelled out "Best Friends". It wasn't long ago that I went out with a pal and we each bought similar but different rings. They were not really meant to be BFF rings, just an afternoon spent together, but whenever I slip it on it reminds me of her! So how are grownup friends celebrating bonds?

We told you about the friendship bracelets chic comeback this summer. But I love how several talented designers focus their creativity on their version of an id necklace. The id pieces pictured here, created by Julie Schwanbeck, designer of jules are a great example. Simple initials marking family and friends names can subtly spell out how much we care. They make wonderful gifts too! Another friend, who I often travel with, began collecting charms for each destination that we visit. Now it's a part of every trip we go on and the charm bracelet is such a great way to look back at the places we've gone! How do you celebrate the friends in your life?
