Bikini or Brazilian

My first waxing for my nether-region is just a few days away and I arranged to get a bikini wax at my spa.  But now that I've invested all that time to grow out the monstrosity happening down there, I'm thinking "I"ve gone this far, why not go all the way?"

I've heard the Brazilian is really painful but it's all the rage with the boys.  I'm totally single without a steady guy in my life so the sex part doesn't really play a factor right now.  But is it worth it if you're just getting it done to quit shaving for a while?  How long can you go without shaving after a Brazilian?  Does it grow back thicker, thinner, in patches?

On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the most painful, how badly does it hurt to get one done?

i would advise you against a brazilian especially since there is no guy you're trying to provide a special treat for. It's not that it actually hurts that much. It hurts, but the pain is quick. The problem is that the brazilian is more likely to give you nasty ingrown hairs. And there's a potential to be red, itchy, and bumby all over your lady parts-- so not worth it.

And yes, there are ways to prevent ingrown hairs and some people are more prone to them than others. But is it really worth all that maintenance? Sometimes keeping a brazilian looking nice and happy is more work than having to shave regularly.

Another thing to consider is the growing back in period is often itchy and uncomfortable.

Just get a good ol' fashioned bikini wax to keep it clean and tidy and you'll be fine.

    Go Brazilian.

Of course, it is a painful process as you are pulling hairs out , along with the follicle, however, as you go more and more consistently, the process is less painful. I am always certain to take Advil or Motrin an hour before the procedure to eliviate pain.

And if that doesn't convince you, sex is better with out all the hair in the way down there. ;D

The pain is like a 3; present, but quickly over with. It is notable that the "back" is the least unpleasant part of all.

However, I quit getting waxed because the discomfort after the fact was just too much. The irritation is caused was out of this world, with red bumps for weeks afterwards. I suppose that not everyone's skin is as sensitive as mine, so try it once, but if your skin is all red and bumpy it's not going to be any better the second time.

I love the Brazillian! I can't stand hair down there! It is ugly it is horrible looking, it geats really sweatier than without hair, if you know what you are doing, you will not get bumps down there, it's called taking care of yourself appropriately! I never get bumps, never get irritated, the only time it is irriatating is when it starts to get thick again! I can't stand hair down there! It itches, it is the most unattracted site and the comments I have heard from men over the years about what they think about women with hair down there, and trust me ladies! Men prefer bald and beautiful instead of hairy and scary! So the next time you go to have sex just remember, what is that man really thinking about my hairy vagina! HA Ha HA! That is so sick! Plus just think, would he really want to put his mouth on that? I don't think so!

Go for the full monty so to speak! It is wonderful to not have to shave a few days. You can go four two six weeks in between waxings. The woman who takes care of me intially told me that the hair would grow back finer and I found that she is correct. Also, waxing does not produce ingrown hairs unless you switch from waxing to shaving and don't exfoliate properly. Like any area on the body with hair you have the potential for ingrown hairs because of the accumulation of dead skin cells and other things that clog the pore. Waxing does not directly cause ingrown hairs. The wonderful thing about hair is that it always grows back. If you don't like it, it will return. As far as the pain goes. I think I have a high tolerance so it doesn't really bother me much. I have also had friends who've cried on the table. It's totally up to you on that one. I'm not saying it tickles, but it's really not that bad.

This is a cute post. I think you should go Brazilian and get a Brazilian bikini to go with it; here are some sexy ones:

I'm stuck in the same situation, When I shave I usually get a painful irritation, so I wanna try it, plus I just got a new boyfriend, and I don't know how attractive I would look wolfing. I think we should both go Brazilian, it can't be that bad!!!
