Last night presented us with an unprecedented opportunity to compare the merits of the brick-red-verging-on-berry pout. And so, without further ado, do you prefer Isabella Rossellini’s minimal matte stain at the Toronto Film Festival or the high-shine opaque lipstick Charlize Theron sported to the launch of the new designers floor at Saks Fifth Avenue? (We know, we know. It’s hard to be impartial when Rossellini is involved, but try your best).

    It depends; I think both matte and shiny can look great, but in the two pictures you show, Charlize definately looks better. The matte stain can be aging and minimize even full lips, like Rossilini's.
