Cindy Crawford discusses her cellulite, we call B.S.

Have you ever noticed how super-beautiful, perfect-bodied, posthuman celebs will often make a point to talk about how very normal they are, how they never get hit on/ how a boy broke up with them in 7th grade/how they were always nerdy and felt ugly/how they sit home and watch bad TV while devouring Cheetos, just like us!

Well...the latest famous person to try this "I'm relatable" line of interview answering is Cindy Crawford, who explained to this month's Redbook magazine: "I have cellulite. I admit it." Still, Crawford says, "Screw it. I am wearing this bikini, and I am not putting on a cover-up."

Excuse us while we barf a little bit.

We get it, most women feel self-conscious about their bodies, and Crawford, being a former supermodel, probably has more pressure to look good than most. But, really? There has to be some serious body dysmorphia going on if this woman is sincere, if she genuinely considers it an act of courage and defiance to wear a bikini. I mean, look at her. These pictures were taken this summer. Where is the cellulite hiding? Does she have a nocturnal form of cellulite that's scared of the light? Is her cellulite a polite friend who only visits when invited? Or is Crawford, who's hawking a new housewares line for everywoman chain J.C. Penney, just trying to seem more like the rest of us, and not like a 43-year-old, freak-of-nature, mother of two who swims on yachts in string bikinis in the body of 20-year-old? Next, we'll hear she's gorging on Cheetos. Sigh.

I agree with the writer of this article. Less than 1% of the population can relate to Ms Crawford...only other former supermodels.

Yeah, B.S. is right, what at a size 5/6? She is complaining that she has cellulite issues? Get real....

What we can't see in these pictures is her butt and the back of her thighs. She may very well have cellulite in that part of her body. I don't think that its fair to judge her based on these pictures alone. If she said she has cellulite then I believe her! It may not be very much. Maybe a few dimples. But it's still cellulite!

You can be a size 6 or smaller and still have cellulite. You can see that she does have some sagging skin on her belly, but that is because she has kids! And she is hot, I am not denying that. But lay off. If she wants to talk about her cellulite then who cares? We all talk about it with our friends, why can't she?

Well if that's cellulite, give me some of that! She is either completely neurotic or trying too hard to be normal. Either way, she comes across as phony to me.

Most women get cellulite, and there's no getting rid of it once you have it - losing weight just makes it less noticeable. People love to hate models, but they're still human (ridiculously rich humans, but still human all the same) - even if she decided to get liposuction, it would only *temporarily* improve the appearance.

So, yes, I do buy that she has cellulite, the picture was taken far away and doesn't show the inside of her thighs or her back at all.

Although I would love to hate someone with such a charmed life-it's unfair for one person to have so much-she has always tried to humanize herself. I believe she had the best of intentions-however condescending she sounds.

In an industry that creates unrealistic expectations of beauty, it doesn't surprise me that a still beautiful woman like Cindy Crawford may think she has fallen below standard. However, if that's what she thinks, let it go. At least she is saying it doesn't matter to her, so why should it matter to us?
