I was a little puzzled by the goopy nature of the lotion, the way it seems a bit watered down, and figured that maybe the L'Occitane was more concentrated, but then I checked into a tube of the L'Occitane from home and realized that hey...it's goopy too. I conducted a side-by-side comparison and lo and behold, the Curél is actually thicker. I am ashamed that I was duped! I totally bought into the pretty little aluminum tube and the purple font on the label.
I don't know about the flaunted 24 hours of moisturizing, but honey child, let me tell you, I totally cannot tell the difference between the Curél and the L'Occitane. Same consistency, same moisturizing ability, same delicious scent that will mentally send you to Provence! The only real difference is that you would get 1 ounce of L'Occitane for ten bucks or you can live the Drugstore Cowgirl dream and get 13 times as much product for less than eight bucks with the Curél. Mon dieu, I'm sold.
With the little accent mark over the E in Curél, that makes it French, right?
